Last-minute stay in a 1-bedroom unit with 2 bathrooms. Room was okay—spacious and functional—but felt cheaply renovated with low-quality finishes. Paper-thin walls/windows let in every outside noise (traffic, neighbors), making sleep tough. Fire alarm blared twice briefly—annoying and unexplained.
The area feels a bit sketchy too… lock your doors and stay aware. You do get access to the nicer main Westgate resort up the street (I thought this was the main property when booking). Fine for a cheap, short crash pad on Irlo Bronson Highway—you get what you pay for—but skip if you want quiet, comfort, or a safer vibe.

We recently had a death in the family and the services are on the same weekend we have reservations. We have called to change them for the following weekend and the want to charge us 200 dollars to do so. I don't believe this is right and don't think I will be staying there in the future.

Poor handling of a lost item.
I left my AirPods in my room and could see via GPS that they were still there. I called the hotel immediately and was transferred multiple times before someone confirmed the room and said they would look for it.
I received no follow-up. The next day, the GPS showed my AirPods had been moved to a waste transfer station. After that, I was repeatedly transferred back to the main line with no clear explanation.
This was extremely disappointing. The hotel was notified in time, and this loss could have been avoided.

We've been coming to Westgate Towers for years and have always gotten great service. This year, our experience has been abysmal. We were told by email that check in is at 4, we arrived at 2 just to let them know we're in the area and ask for a room with sunlight if possible. They told us to come back at 3:30. When we came back at 4 we were told by Sara the room (one without sunlight) was still not ready and could take up to 2 more hours to prepare, because they had a busy week and are at full capacity. In what world is that the guest's problem? Guests are expected to wait around indefinitely because of your poor planning. On top of all this, Sara was utterly rude and distruptive while we tried to voice our concerns. We will not be returning
Edit: When we went back at 5:50 to check, they told us the room was ready. We asked why we weren't called, and Sara said she was busy with a customer (too busy for a 3 sec call). Absolutely unacceptable.

I booked this resort for a recent stay through Perks at Work.
The resort is in a good location near dining and a Wal-mart. Easy to get to from 192. Close proximity to Disney parks.
Upon arrival, I was directed to the activities desk and presented with coupons and guide on attractions in the area. I was also hit with the opportunity to watch their presentation & realized this was a timeshare type of resort catering to their sister property next door. I politely declined as I dont travel often.
I appreciated the added sense of security due to a side entrance being locked, so the only way to access the property was through the main entrance.
I read reviews prior to arriving and requested one of the renovated rooms. The room was spacious and comfortable, included a kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, sink and some dishes/utensils. The bathroom was very spacious, however the barn style doors were off the track & once corrected one would not stay shut but it did not cause an issue for my stay. The balcony was screened in overlooking one of the many pools offered at this resort. They have putt putt, a play ground, air hockey so plenty to keep the family busy in between the parks. One thing I almost missed was the butterfly garden, this was a really neat feature!
Your room key is required to enter any of the buildings for an added safety measure. Checking out was very easy, just leave the keys in the room & text the front desk. The only thing that could have made this place better would have been a shuttle to at least Disney Springs but I managed to get around without issue. If you are looking for a cozy non-Disney property that won't break the bank, you can't beat the value at Westgate Towers Resort! I would stay here again in the future.
