Volveremos!

Paid my bill in full prior to arrival via the IHG website. They added $80 of miscellaneous fees and parking fees on top of it when we arrived. We checked in, key to the room didn’t work, so we checked out with a full refund. Didn’t even feel safe leaving my car in the parking lot because sketchville across the street. The staff was really nice but boo to the added fees on arrival. If you wanna charge me extra fees, just do it at checkout. Adding a resort fee especially on arrival and not at checkout makes zero sense. Had I known upfront it wouldn’t have been a big deal but the deception is a deal breaker and there are plenty of other hotels so we went elsewhere.

This place was a waste of money and I regret coming here with my family. To start, when we got there the workers were very rude and passive when we asked for directions, made us feel like we couldn't ask for anything. We got to out room and wasn't with dead roaches in th cabinets ... I think that speaks for itself. Fleas on all furniture, including the beds. We had to move out to a new room, and that took a good couple hours. Things were overpriced, as usual with resorts, not that this place even counts as one. The hot tub had things that were questionable floating for days we couldn't go in because the water was cloudy. We had a woman taking pornographic photos at the public pool area while trying to swim, and wouldn't stop so we had to try and talk to the manager. They dismissed us and called my mother some not so kind things, and handled the situation poorly. Never coming here again. They also do not clean out rooms, or change bed sheets even upon request.

Staybridge suites. Is like it sounds, staying under a bridge. And maybe that would’ve been better than the room we got. Ok I’m not one to complain but I honestly had the worst experience at this place. The layout was not only confusing but also sketchy feeling! The location was near Disney world but that’s the only thing going for it. I had unpleasant and inappropriate encounters at the pool area, our room had cockroaches and fleas, and the maids almost never came in and cleaned! We visited the free laundry place, and realized why it was free when we saw the garbage strewn all over the floor and our clothes came out smelling awful. Not a place I would recommend whatsoever.

This "resort" is one of the many still around on the Route 192 stretch. The surrounding area is not that great, but it is within 15min of the 4 major Disney Parks. The rooms were very dated, but spacious and overall clean. Our biggest complaint was the check-in process. After completing check-in you are told that you have to speak to the guy "at the other desk" to acquire your parking pass. This is nothing more than their attempt to get you in front of their sales person. While there you will be LIED to that you are eligible for a free gift, and almost nobody ever qualifies for this! (So you are very special!!). They will beat around the bush, but at the end of the day it is nothing more than agreeing to a timeshare presentation. After being abundantly clear that we had zero interest, we were finally able to continue on to our room 20 minutes later. This act alone was enough to ensure that we will never stay here again. This, accompanied by the fact that the manager continued to push on this a few days later when I had to complain that housekeeping took our bottle of shampoo and left the caddy unlocked and dangling. Instead of being apologetic, he continues to ensure that I heard about about their amazing free gift!! Pros: -Moderately clean, despite clearly showing it's age -Rotating complimentary breakfast, though their staff has to dish out your food (A little strange) -The pool water actually seemed to be very clean and well maintained -Not sure if there is a much better price, for what you get, and within the minimal distance to the parks -7-11 convenience store right in front of the resort -Many fast food options available close by Cons: -Not a very good area these days -The game room is a joke. Either spend some money into upgrading it, or get rid of it. This room was severely needing a remodel 30 years ago. -There is what appears to be an old splash pad, falling apart, that is a severe eye sore. You should probably remove this as a feature from any online listings, or Google maps photos -There are four elevators, but at least one was always broken during our trip -STOP trying to sell time share presentations!!! -Why on earth would you only point out the single washer/dryer on floor 1 as your laundry facilities? I don't know if every level has one, but level two had an abundance of stacked washer/dryer combos. There was no mention of this, and people had laundry lined up on the main floor waiting to use the single washer and dryer!!
