Let’s be honest: nobody goes to Secrets for the rooms. Some people might, sure, but most of us go for the environment. And on that front, Secrets delivers exactly what it’s designed for.
The resort has multiple pools, plenty of chairs, and wide open areas that make it easy to relax, talk, and connect with people. The two bars keep the energy flowing, and the private adult area gives guests the freedom to explore the lifestyle side of things without pretending that’s not part of the draw.
Because the old hotel was converted into condos, every room is decorated differently, some simple, some surprisingly creative. Just remember: they’re still hotel-sized rooms in an older building. If you’re looking for luxury or quiet nights, this isn’t that kind of trip. Music runs day and night, and you’re probably not there for sleep anyway. Bring earplugs if rest is the priority.
The staff is genuinely friendly and works hard with what the property gives them. It’s not Hedo, and it’s not trying to be. But as far as lifestyle locations in the U.S. go? Secrets is easily in the top ten.
Go for the atmosphere, the freedom, the people, and the experience. Enjoy the views...and the activities.

First off shout to Remy at the front desk. She’s an absolute star example of quality customer service. She’s one of the reasons we will be back. Also shout out to Thali and Miracle they were sweet and very helpful. The dj was awesome and the rest of the staff was kind. Our room was not clean or ready upon check in however we told Remy and she fixed it in a promptly manner. Housekeeping did wake us up an hour before checkout to ask if we were checking out. I feel like that shouldn’t have happened but minor inconvenience not to worry about. However we did meet a bartender Johnny. After hours of being by the pool ordering he mentions to my husband he didn’t pay for his drink the night before. We tried to explain that when we were there it was three female bartenders and my husband had to leave for a work emergency by 8pm and returned around 4am so couldn’t have been him. He didn’t care and rather argue, we paid it. Then during happy hour my husband ordered a bud light and was told $5. A few minutes later still during happy hour the price was $6 when my husband inquired why the price change he was told “uncle Sam needs his cut too.” We again obliged instead of argue. We ordered from the kitchen “lucky loins”(was delicious and surprised at the quality of the food honestly.) Again we were charged more than the listed price on the menu. We ordered a cocktail bucket and when we went for a refill I was given the menu of options. I inquired if I got a different type is it still the same price for a refill, he advised yes and I was charged $20 for a refill despite all the listed prices in the resort say $18. If there’s a price discrepancy I suggest changing your marketing images to reflect the correct cost. This made us not want to spend another penny there as we felt we were targeted and taken advantage of. My husband is a person of principal and advised he would like to never return to the property solely on this bad bartending interaction.

My sweetheart and I traveled from Utah (we have family in the Tampa area, so we visit yearly) for a fun, adults-only getaway. This was our 4th or 5th stay, and it never disappoints. We especially love when lifestyle groups host full takeovers—iCandy events are a standout—but the resort shines even on regular weekends.
Recent renovations to the pools and social areas are fantastic; everything feels fresh and inviting. The themed play spaces (including a creative dungeon for the more adventurous) add variety, and clear guidelines keep the environment respectful and comfortable. Cleanliness is top-notch throughout.
We appreciate the mix of newcomers and seasoned guests; the vibe is welcoming without pressure. Couples and occasional single ladies are common, and staff do a great job maintaining boundaries—rare issues with overly eager solos are handled quickly.
For the full experience, request a ground-floor room near the action. If you prefer quieter evenings, second-floor rooms offer a nice retreat. Overall, a highly recommended spot for open-minded adults seeking a safe, judgment-free escape. We’ll be back!

This place is a money grab. They don't offer guests NOTHING!, Not Even A Complimentary Breakfast! They charge you for everything parties fee, entry fee, membership fees, bar fee, food fee etc.. They take alot but don't give nothing. Go to Hedo or Temptations you will get more for your buck...... Your reply still didn't give anything free to your guests, a Sunday party or discounted drinks at happy hour is the best you can do when your guests pay so much?... Even Hotels that are not all inclusive gives Complimentary breakfasts. Try starting with a Complimentary breakfast as a thank you to your guests for having to pay so much at your establishment.
