Everything is new and works well. We did not use the pool, so I won't comment on that.
The room was clean and well done. I understand that for big families there's not a lot of cabinets for clothes, but It was more than enough for the three of us, for a few days.
We did not stay on the main building, and it's never too far off, but we used the car to go to the main building, mostly because of the sun or rain.
We did not like that the staff was lacking training. They did their best, but It seemed that there was no standard in the service, uniforms, and overall experience.
Example. I had to make a phone call at one moment, with the hotel landline (my cell phone had data only). I tried the room phone, with no instructions, dialing 0, 9, the most usual stuff, and I didn't work. I called reception and the person did not know how to do It, either. He asked the supervisor and he didn't know, as well. But later in the day, looking at the phone in the living room, It had the instructions sticker on It(it was number 8). That was an example of how the people were not really professionally trained, and were just winging It, while doing their best. It seemed that the management was not trained themselves, if there was any.
One example: we saw the same person doing multiple tasks, like the security guard, fully uniformed, in the lobby, hosting the breakfast buffet.
The ladies cleaning the rooms were great, but had no uniforms.
Speaking of the buffet, It was ok. But one inadmissable thing I felt for this kind of hotel was the plastic forks and knives.
One night, we wanted to order a pizza from the pizzeria that they advertise (It's the same breakfast bar at the lobby). I couldn't do It over the phone, so I went to the lobby and they cooked a frozen pizza for me in the empty lobby. So save the "pizzeria" for a last resort option.
That was kind of a rant. Overall we had a 2.5 star experience, with a 4 star room, but next time I will probably try some different place.
