Accessibility
Access to the BoardWalk has become more complicated, with new parking restrictions and the need for reservations to enter, which frustrated some guests.
Family-Friendly Activities

Rode the friendship boat from Disney Studios to Disney Boardwalk. The lights were beautiful at night although the dancehall was closed during the week and I then rode the Disney Bus to Disney Springs. Transportation is free and makes it easy to see so many Disney properties.

We had a really nice time on the Boardwalk. There are quite a few shops available and quite a few dining options as well. The area is also very scenic. Looking out over a lake. Easy to get to, within walking distance of the skyliner station at EPCOT.

If you want to escape away from Epcot a little bit. Its just a short 5-7 minute walk away. The boardwalk have shops and restaurants, and you can also walk around the hotel area free of charge.

Online reports that the boardwalk is free is in-accurate And according to the gate officer, you must have a reservation for the hotel to go on the boardwalk as of my visit was 2/16/2026. Was a little irritated because it’s always been free and it’s nice to go into the shops buy authentic Disney items like I have always done When I’m in Orlando. So I will not be attempting this ever again
