Disney’s BoardWalk is absolutely magical! The atmosphere is vibrant, charming, and full of life, especially in the evenings with the lights, music, and waterfront views. The walk itself is beautiful and relaxing, with fantastic dining, entertainment, and easy access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Street performers, unique shops, and the classic BoardWalk vibe make it a perfect place to unwind after a park day. Clean, lively, and full of Disney charm—this is a must-visit spot on any Disney trip!

The so-called “Magic Moment” of Disney clearly ended years ago.
I took my children to the Disney BoardWalk, planning to buy ice cream at my child’s favorite ice cream shop there. Right at the gate, we were met by an employee who showed no friendliness at all — no smile, no warmth, not even a simple “good morning.” The attitude did not reflect Disney standards in any way.
I presented my driver’s license, and she bluntly said what she wanted was a reservation. I explained that we didn’t have a reservation because we were just going in briefly to get ice cream for the kids. Her response was cold and immediate: “Without a reservation, you need to turn around and park at Disney Springs.”
I tried to explain the situation — it was cold, I had two small babies in the car, and my youngest needed a diaper change and was crying. Even then, there was no empathy or attempt to help. She simply repeated, again and again: “Turn around and go to Disney Springs.”
Experiences like this show how much the Disney magic has faded. The service was rigid, unwelcoming, and completely disconnected from what Disney has always claimed to represent for families with young children. A very disappointing experience.

Disney’s BoardWalk is one of our favorite places to wander at Walt Disney World.
It has that classic turn-of-the-century Atlantic coastal vibe, with great views around Crescent Lake and an easy walk to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios (or hop on the Friendship boats). At night it really comes alive—string lights, live performers sometimes, and a fun mix of spots to grab a drink or a bite.
Perfect for a chill evening stroll, photos, and a break from the parks without feeling like you “left Disney.”

Very Disorganized and Unsafe Bus Experience
I stopped by the BoardWalk today to walk around and enjoy the area. We spent a few hours there, and the place itself was very nice.
However, when it was time to leave and return to Disney Springs, the bus situation was a complete mess. There was no organization at all. People were cutting the line, pushing, and shoving to get on the bus.
I was traveling with two small children, and the situation felt unsafe and stressful. It was really disappointing to see Disney allow this kind of chaos, especially in an area with families and young kids. Someone could easily get hurt.
There were no Disney Cast Members present to organize the line or control the crowd, which made the experience even worse.
Think twice before staying late in the afternoon if you plan to rely on Disney transportation from the BoardWalk. What should have been a smooth ending to a nice visit turned into a very unpleasant experience.
