I can’t say a single bad thing. Everyone was so nice, offered laundry services, gorgeous views, very nice room. My husband and I visited for our honeymoon. We were 15-20 minutes from downtown Key West. We were able to rent a golf cart from the hotel. Parking was included and convenient. We also added a couples massage through the concierge service on the first day we arrived. It was PERFECT after 2 days in the car. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, but did stop in at the bar. The pool was calm and always had available seating. The roosters will wake you up, but you get used to it!
We choose this place to be a little out of the major hustle and bustle of downtown keys. We were very happy with this location and the close proximity to downtown. They offer a shuttle service to get to the downtown area, but we rented a car, so it took us about 15 mins. The restaurant on-site, Matt's stock island restuarant was wonderful. Beautiful views of the marina and would highly recommend!
Stayed at The Perry in July of 2025. The location is good, nice grounds, nice pool. The rooms left much to be desired. As mentioned in other reviews the walls are paper thin and you can easily hear the people in the room next to you. The worst of all was the noise from the housekeeping staff. The room they used to store their carts was right across from my room and the noise woke me up every morning. Not only the noise of the carts but the noise of the staff hanging out in the hallway talking and watching videos. I reported this to the front desk during my stay and was told there wasn’t much they can do. The worst part of this hotel easily was the customer service. Upon arrival the gentleman at the front desk barely looked up at us while checking in, provided zero information about the hotel, and really barely acknowledged us. Upon check in we asked to purchase a Mimosa package to be delivered the next morning to celebrate a 30th birthday- the gentleman at the front desk said yes; charged us, and confirmed it would be delivered the next day. The next morning the delivery never came. When I went down to the front desk to inquire they said “sorry we don’t have it” and gave me a voucher for two free drinks from the bar. I’ve stayed at basic chain hotels who have gone above and beyond for birthdays for no additional cost. This was something special I paid for and the resort not only failed to deliver but could care less that our celebration was ruined. I went back to the front desk and asked to speak to a manager and was once again just brushed off and said sorry. When a hotel doesn’t care about their guests it’s pretty obvious, and this was clear as day. The shuttle drivers were all more helpful than the front desk staff, and the gentleman who booked excursions was also very nice and helpful. All in all I would not recommend this hotel and would advise to spend money elsewhere where your business will be appreciated.

Perry Hotel was clean and the grounds are well maintained. My only regret is there is no beach. We rented a golf cart (24 hour rental) to drive downtown, it was super fun and easier to park than a car. The hotel pool is heated and poolside food/drink service is available. Don’t miss the Michelin recommended restaurant on property, the food was delicious! February 2026

My wife and I stayed here for a week in February to escape the weather in our hometown for awhile. We did not want to be in the middle of the bars and restaurants in Key West which is why we picked The Perry, just outside of Key West on Stock island. Our room was a good size and we'll appointed if not overly luxurious. The balcony overlooked the pool and marina which were both beautiful. Food and service at Matt's Restaurant and the Salty Oyster pool bar were both excellent. There is a shuttle to downtown Key West that runs on the hour which is very convenient - it takes about 20 minutes. Johnny the concierge set us up with three different activities-snorkeling, paddling, sunset cruise-that originated right at the hotel/ marina. Very convenient.
The immediate area beyond the hotel/marina is not really walkable and is a little sketchy but we visited a couple of excellent restaurants - Hogfish Saloon and The Docks on Stock Island just a short Uber ride away.
My one complaint during our stay: chickens and roosters run free in the Keys and the Perry seemed to have a couple of permanent inhabitants. One rooster every night was posted up on a tall light stantion just beyond our balcony every night and took it upon himself to start crowing at random times during the night waking us up. Hotel staff didn't seem to do anything about it when I complained. We could have switch rooms I guess but we decided to stay. The pool bar had a large super soaker squirt gun they used to keep the rooster away from begging at customer tables. I seriously thought about buying one while I was there......
