We booked this property not knowing that its about 20 minutes ourside of Key West. They do have a shuttle running every hour, which is nice, but I would not stay there again due to the distance from Key West and some other reasons, which have to do with customer service of the manager Claudia. We had a 3rd floor water view. The room was nice, but the shower water was trickling and there was some mold in the shower. Not too pleasant, especially when paying $600 per night. What was really unpleasant is the way the manager Claudia handled a bill discrepancy when we were checking out. We thought we paid in full with Expedia booking, but apparently Expedia did not charge and it was a property pay. Claudia was very dismissive and had a smirk on her face all the while we tried to contact Expedia to avoid a double charge. Really did not appreciate the attitude. We will not be returning to this property. Stay somewhere else. Marina has dirty water. Area industrial.
Decent room but showing some age .. our carpet had holes in it from wear. A bit noisy from 9-11pm or so. The Cafe had only one person working to make coffee and serve the pastries at 7:30am. The line was ten deep , how ridiculous and frustrating. Overall a good value with only a few shortcomings.

Cons-no early check in, no early check out, no upgrade as per Amex Hotel Collection. Breakfast was included but only 1 option available and only had to pick choice of juice or coffee not both. Went to us $100credit for lunch while waiting for our room and would not let us use it, Manager said you can sit at the dining room table until room number was available. Paid extra for ocean view, the view was of the man groves with the ocean in the far distance. Very loud military jets flying above all day long, brochure stated quite hotel. Paper to go coffee cups during breakfast, not mugs. Defiantly not up to Amex Hotel Collection standards, would not return. Left room before 10AM and was not cleaned until 3pm

When booking this hotel, especially at this price point, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and attention to detail. The property truly has the potential to be a 5 star experience, the location and views are beautiful, but the lack of care in the room was very disappointing.
The balcony windows, which should have showcased the stunning view, were heavily smudged and dirty, taking away from what should have been a highlight of the stay. There was also noticeable dust throughout the room, giving the impression that it had been rushed or only partially cleaned. For the cost of this room, that level of upkeep is simply not acceptable.
With better attention to cleanliness and detail, this hotel could easily live up to its full potential. Unfortunately, that was not my experience during this stay. For a high end luxury stay, attention to detail should absolutely be a priority, and unfortunately that was missing here. I will not be returning.

Beautiful resort. Very friendly staff. We stayed for seven days. House keeping kept our room well supplied and refreshed. Felt safe inside resort. Pools are very clean and warm. Plenty of outdoor seating. Restaurant on site is great. Love the amenities. We did a guided mangrove kayak tour with Liz, Felix and Anela and absolutely loved it. They were very informative about local wildlife and vegetation. Highly recommended doing this adventure.
