The rooms were spacious, our 7 kids enjoyed the pool area and being close to each other’s rooms. We had our wedding in key west, in total 8 rooms booked. We booked the queen suite for our room, it was nice to have a sitting area. Everyone had positive reviews of the rooms and overall stay. Will, the hotel manager, made sure we were all taken care of, super friendly, and even had scooters delivered to the hotel for our large group at a great rate. Thank you Will and staff for a great stay!
- SBSusie BodnarDec 19, 20251.0At first my stay was just fine and everyone seemed welcoming. However, the day I checked out I left my ring in the bathroom of my room. I did not realize until later and called as soon as possible. It was stated that the ring hadn’t been turned in and the supervisor stated that he would call me later that evening or the following morning. I never received a call and decided to stop by in person as I was still in town. The supervisor stated that the ring hadn’t been found. There’s no way that my ring shouldn’t have been found since it was left on the bathroom counter. While in the lobby, the supervisor for housekeeping walked in and the front desk supervisor asked him again in front of me. The housekeeping supervisor said no, that they didn’t find my ring and brushed the situation off. I asked if I could file a complaint, and it was stated that I could file a police report in which I did. I also asked if I could speak with a GM, but I was brushed off again. Yes, my mistake for leaving my ring behind but it should have been turned in the same day. In the beginning it seemed as if they cared. However, I feel like they were trying to appease me, and now it’s not a big deal to them. My ring is not worth much, but is extremely sentimental. I feel like I should call around to the pawn shops at this point. If you want a decent location, stay here. If you want any of your lost belongings to be potentially stolen from you, avoid at all costs. I feel like the honesty and integrity are now lacking. My experience when from being positive to disappointing all within 2 hours.
- FCFernando CamposDec 14, 20255.0Great Experience at the Best Western Hibiscus Motel. My wife participated in a sporting event in Key West and stayed at this location. The event took a little bit longer than expected, so I called the Hotel and spoke to Will and asked him to give my wife a bit more time to go back to the room and pick up her things. He gladly agreed and gave her additional time to shower, get ready, pick up her things and check out. Very accommodating. Definitely recommend this place 10 out of 10.
