I ended up in jail for 5 days and charged with battery for slapping my boyfriends hand. Charges were dismissed but I lost my property and I was stuck in a city that I didn't know anyone and I spent the night in the airport after I spent more money to get home just because no one checked to make sure that a crime was being committed

We noticed that besides the $50 hold, an additional $73.72 was charged (and the entire stay had already been paid through our Booking reservation). I went to the front desk to ask about the $73.72, and they just said it was “fees,” repeating the same thing over and over. They didn’t make any effort to explain, especially after realizing that we don’t speak much English. The problem is that the $73.72 charge is still showing on my account, and we have already called the hotel and sent messages through Booking, but no one is resolving it. The service has been very disappointing — no one helps with anything.
