Unfortunately, the hospital had to reschedule my appointment, so i immediately contacted the hotel to see if they could work with me to reschedule my stay. The hotel clerk said she would have the manager call me back but never did but they definitely charged my credit card. For the full amount. Clearly, i'll never stay in a IHG affiliated property again!
