  First room I was given smelled like cigarette smoke, so had to ask for a new room. Second room was fine. I was there for a two night stay and in town for a funeral. The next day I went to the funeral and while I was gone, the hotel removed all of my belongings from my room and then checked someone else into the room. I came back to the hotel that night and entered my room to find everything missing, and found out that when I entered that room someone else had been checked into it. The hotel said they made a mistake, had my belongings at the front desk, and gave me a third room. They didn't really compensate me for the trouble, they just gave me a small amount of IHG points. Breakfast was fine.

  Edit: Throwing housekeeping under the bus for this speaks for itself. They don't make those decisions - they do what they're told to do by whomever management is. I took a screenshot of the comment so don't bother deleting it. That's a horrible way to treat the people who have one of the worst jobs - I know because I have done residential and commercial cleaning before. Out of all of the responses to this, that was the last one I expected. The overuse of air fresheners is absolutely ridiculous. It only means two things: 1. They're covering up bad smells 2. You get a massive headache. The windows don't even open so you can counter act the smell. Instead of being lazy using air fresheners, just clean and properly take care of the hotel. I don't understand the good reviews. The refrigerator smells awful and we couldn't use it. The bathroom is also gross and smells. Never in a million years would I recommend this place to anyone.

  This is a really nice hotel. Rooms are good, service was great and they do a really tasty breakfast. My only gripe was getting there due to some roadworks and poor signposting.

  The front desk staff is great. I think this hotel has had a management change. I’ve never had these problems before. I checked in for two nights two separate reservations Saturday night and Sunday night. On the 2nd day my room was never cleaned before the 2nd night even though I paid for two nights. I did report this to the front desk, but nothing happened. I did not get the service for two nights. Sunday morning there was no white milk for the cereal and then again to my surprise on Monday morning, there was no white cereal for the milk. ( FYI there is a little convenience store down the street if you can’t remember to order enough white milk). I don’t understand why you put cereal out, I guess you eat it dry. The coffee makers have been taken out of the room which is a real big inconvenience.not a normal IHG anymore.

  Very good hotel staff and friendly. Also had a shuttle 24 hours from and to airport. I travel a lot for work, and this isn't the worst hotel I've been to, however there is a lot of competition in the area in this price range. This hotel should be priced at 80-90 a night, in my opinion. With that being said, this hotel is outdated, and my room was a bit tattered. Plug next to bed was loose, drapes had runs, and the room had a some what slight odor. It wasn't super bad, but hit me with a stale quality. The body wash bottle was broken and empty in the shower, which isn't a big deal but all these things add up. One thing I look for that is a dead giveaway and indicator of the quality of a hotel is the caulking around the bathroom and baseboards to tell the overall health of a place, this was browm/old and missing much of it.
