The hotel is aesthetically beautiful but it has a lot of areas of comfort it needs to improve on. The Thermostat in rooms will not allow for full range of temperature control. I had mine set at 68 but it wouldn't cool under 70. Many complaints to maintenance over our 2 night stay were met with excuses. This was very frustrating, as my husband was recovering from cancer treatment. If you're visiting the Mayo be aware your room could be warm and stuffy. Water pressure and temperature in shower is also lacking. I would avoid this hotel until they have the kinks worked out. We will head back to our trusted Residence Inn for a more comfortable stay during our Mayo visits.

Me and my wife recently attended a catered event for approx 225 people . Parking spots very tight. Graciously greeted in lobby and informed of event area it is beautiful venue.Wonderful reception with beef wellington pastry apps, drinks and attentive staff. Upon entering dining room things went downhill. Chairs in dining room cheap rental style , cushions just placed on seats not tied with tethers slipped all over. Different food station around room. Caesar salad station done well, charcuterie and cheese area was lacking refinement. sliced meats heaped in pan ,big lump of meat compressed together . serving tongs worst ever tongs crushed all they touched (pretty but useless), olives needed spoons or claw footed tongs. meat should of been rolled and dispayed. Lazy chef! 2nd food serving line , mashed potatoes , Small salad shrimp seasoned warm , beef ragout, sauteed mushrooms , summer squash stew, servers forced patrons to use 6 oz funneled glass as a plate. This station made no sense what so ever. 3rd station was sliced thick crust pizza , and slider sandwiches . Dessert were churros that were strait out of a middle school cafeteria. Finally a cart was observed going table to table making cannoli's. this was so slow with only one person operating cart and being polite talking at each table. maybe 50 people were served. most ill conceived , disjointed banquet i have ever attended . No oversight from upper management . what happened . Staff very polite , table attendants great job.

Newly built location. Very nice building but they goofed up the fitting of the actual rooms. The mattress is like a concrete slab. They built motion activated lights into the base of the bed that kept triggering at night waking me up. No way to turn them off. Can only imagine how irritated a couple would get with the lights going on every time someone gets up to take a pee at night. Then there is the motion activated bathroom lights. Nothing like getting hit with strong bright lights in the middle of the night when going to the bathroom. No way to keep them off. Some techie obviously thought all of this would be cool but it is beyond annoying. Like Hilton but will not be staying in this hotel again. Between the bed and these lights, rather stay over in the old Courtyard in a comfortable bed without the middle of the night light torture

My wife had surgery at Mayo clinic in Jacksonville October 15th 2025. We booked a room for October 16th after discharge at the Hilton at Mayo Clinic. Unfortunately this was not communicated to the hotel from the main office. We showed the staff our booking number and deposit of $460 but they had no record. We called the main office and they refused to refund us telling us this was considered a cancellation. We were required to come up with $500 to get a room. Now this all being said, the staff was amazing. Isabel, Monica, Chris and Suzy were outstanding! They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and things were done right. They treated us like family and made sure my wife had proper Accommodations. We were told by Isabel she would do her best to find out what the issue was with our booking and attempt to rectify it. Thanks to her care we have been refunded. We cannot appreciate enough their care. William Ferguson

My mom and I stayed at this location because of its proximity to the Mayo Clinic. My mom had a procedure scheduled and we both appreciated the convenience of the shuttle service provided from the hotel to the hospital. Upon arrival, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The lobby is clean and well maintained. We had a double queen room, and the layout worked well for the 2 of us. The problem, however, is that there were automatic lights on the side of the beds that turned on every time one of us moved. We ended up putting extra pillows on the floor to block the lights at night because it disrupted our sleep. Other than that, our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The bathroom was clean and features a sleek and functional design. The shower pressure was on the weaker side, but still did the job. We enjoyed the continental buffet during our stay and appreciated the variety of fresh food available to us. The wait staff was also quite pleasant and helpful (loved Tori!). That said, we had the same buffet for 3 mornings and were charged different prices each time. Luckily we paid to have breakfast included with our room, but the price tag on breakfast was not consistent and the final day seemed very expensive. In my opinion, a buffet should not be $60 for two people. I don’t have a background in the food industry, but I would think it would be more reasonable for a dinner for 2 to cost that much, not a casual breakfast. We had dinner at the restaurant as well, and the food was of great quality and seemed fresh. My only complaint is that our waitress took a really long time to ask the kitchen a question we had about a certain drink. She came back about 15 minutes later with the drink and said “There was a misunderstanding in the kitchen and they made the drink” and brought it out even though we didn’t order it. From there, she forgot about us and it took quite sometime before we got the check. Again, most of the staff at this Hilton location are helpful, patient, and friendly. I know this particular hotel is new and has some “kinks” to work out, so I am writing this review in hopes it will help in the future. We will likely stay here again because of the convenience to the hospital, but might not revisit the restaurant…
