- LLLTFeb 3, 20261.0CAR BURGLARIES…STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK!! SEE PHOTOS ATTACHED!! My daughter’s graduation from a nearby university turned into a nightmare. Her car was burglarized in the parking lot of the Hilton Garden Inn Jacksonville JTB/Deerwood Park, and the hotel’s response was extremely disappointing. The break‑in caused major damage and theft, yet onsite staff and management showed little concern, offered no guidance, and stated the hotel takes no responsibility. They also refused to reimburse any portion of the repair costs. What makes this worse is that the parking lot has no security cameras, despite the area being known for frequent car break‑ins. The Duval County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that this location clearly warrants proper surveillance, but the hotel has chosen not to install any at the time of my stay. For a Hilton‑branded property, the lack of basic safety measures and lack of accountability is unacceptable. I left with a damaged car, out‑of‑pocket expenses, and no support from management. I strongly urge travelers to reconsider staying here—especially if you have a vehicle or valuables. Until this hotel installs proper security, guests remain at risk. Definitely will never stay at Hilton brand in this area!
