This hotel is located in a good part of Jacksonville, very close to a lot of restaurants and other things but that is the only good thing I can say about this hotel. As soon as we walked in, the lobby smelled like mold. We went up to our room where again the entire hallway smelled of mold. Our room seemed okay at first... I went to use the restroom after our long drive and noticed the toilet seat was very loose and almost coming off the toilet. I said 'no big deal' and crouched down to look under the toilet and tighten it. I was absolutely disgusted with what I saw. I am not sure if it's hard water, rust, or feces but the toilet and floor around it was disgusting. The whole room and bathroom just felt gross and not well maintained. I have family in Jacksonville so I visit often but I will never return to this hotel.

Do not book this place. The service was the worst I have ever experienced.
This hotel does not have trained staff nor a manager to solve service and change of rate issues.
When I arrived, the front desk staff lied, saying there were no quiet rooms—only ones near the elevator. But when I said I would cancel my reservation, they suddenly found one. They also raised the rate I had booked through Hilton without any explanation.
When I called Hilton customer service (1-800), they told me I was “at the mercy of the hotel” and couldn’t help with the rate. How is that possible?
To make things worse, the hotel lost electricity during the night. The next morning, there was no manager available to explain why my rate was different. The front desk staff didn’t know how to use the system. I was told I had to close my account just to find out what I was being charged. I checked out that morning.
Update 10/4:
After I moved to the Aloft (near the Hilton), I had the complete opposite experience. Michael at the front desk immediately asked, “Would you prefer a room near the elevator or farther away?” Then he offered me a complimentary breakfast and gave me a pass—he even included a free bottle of water.
The Aloft Jacksonville Tapestry Park hotel made me feel welcome and appreciated. I am recommending this hotel to the conference organizers for next year.

MOLD!!! I had a room on the third floor but the air conditioner kept going off losing connection between the thermostat on the wall across the room anyway it's like the third and fourth floor both have at least an 8 inch waterline and dehumidifiers at the end of each hallway because it's so moldy!! I had hung some clothes in the closet that I didn't wear, when I unpacked them at another hotel the next night all my clean clothes smelled like mold!!! luckily I was able to crack a window but oh my God!! And it's been over a year considering some reviews say the same thing..it would probably be best that they take the carpet out or have an actual mold remediation because I get migraines and I stayed three nights traveling... and this is a Hilton??? The refrigerator doesn't have a freezer but it'll freeze your stuff, my orange was frozen solid and all my melon so I had to throw it all away, frozen solid.... I had a climb on the windowsill to roll the blinds back up a couple times, the automatic blinds didn't work and it kept going down down down and it wouldn't go back up. so that was fun - and the ceiling looked like it was about the cave in and then they put me in the room directly above that room so that was interesting because I made the comment about how the ceiling looks like it was about to fall down!! The second room the other air-conditioning unit they must have had pre-set it shot up to 86 one time and 84 another time because I noticed it was warm and I had it set on 68!!! Weird. This is the second bad experience I've had with the Hilton brand in the last month!! Oh yea, the Keurig was disgusting, I ran water through it a few times because they take the coffee after breakfast.... it had grounds in it anyway!! Ugghh
