Quick warning: Choose this location only if you’re comfortable with repeated parking-lot break-ins and minimal support afterward. I stayed at Hilton Garden Inn Jacksonville JTB / Deerwood Park in December 2025 for a graduation. During my final night, my vehicle was burglarized in the hotel parking lot and the rear window was shattered, making the car unsafe to drive. I still had to drive several hours home in that condition. The property posts “guest parking — assume all risks” signs that are partially hidden by overgrown trees on a poorly maintained lot. These feel more like legal disclaimers than real safety measures. The online photos do not reflect the current condition of this property. When I reported the incident, a front desk associate, Lexie, said “cameras won’t stop the crime.” My information and police report number were written on loose paper, I was denied a copy of the hotel incident report, and the conversation was shut down. It was clear security is not a priority here. Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded and advised that vehicle break-ins happen frequently at this property. I was told multiple cars were broken into in the front row earlier in 2025 and that management has been urged to install cameras. My case was later classified as an advanced burglary. After escalating to Hilton Corporate, Remington Hotels, and their insurer Gallagher Bassett, responsibility was passed around for weeks. Remington’s corporate team and the GM, Lacey Childress, never responded. I ultimately received a written denial. The only “resolution” offered was 10,000 Hilton Honors points. I paid $285 for the stay, had my car broken into on their lot, and then paid an insurance deductible to fix damage that occurred on hotel property. No meaningful assistance was provided. I’m a Hilton Honors Silver member and have stayed at many Hilton properties nationwide without issue. This isn’t bad luck — it’s a serious property management and security failure. Posting this so future guests can make informed decisions about parking safety and how incidents are handled here. Photos included.

I booked this room 5 mos ahead. We were given a overflow room, windows we're dirty, coffee cramer curdled, left side of bed plug in kept shorting out i used a cpap. Also water stains we're in toilet. Staff was friendly hotel, looked great. Disappointed in the hilton brand we're used to better.

This hotel is located in a good part of Jacksonville, very close to a lot of restaurants and other things but that is the only good thing I can say about this hotel. As soon as we walked in, the lobby smelled like mold. We went up to our room where again the entire hallway smelled of mold. Our room seemed okay at first... I went to use the restroom after our long drive and noticed the toilet seat was very loose and almost coming off the toilet. I said 'no big deal' and crouched down to look under the toilet and tighten it. I was absolutely disgusted with what I saw. I am not sure if it's hard water, rust, or feces but the toilet and floor around it was disgusting. The whole room and bathroom just felt gross and not well maintained. I have family in Jacksonville so I visit often but I will never return to this hotel.
