Our hotel is located approximately 10 miles from Downtown Jacksonville and is close to shopping centers such as the Avenues Mall, St John's Town Center.     We always stay at Hampton Inns when traveling, and this is one of our best. It is very clean and quiet, and the staff are pleasant and helpful. Thank you Steve, Armeena, Faith, and all breakfast and cleaning personnel.

    The hotel felt newer or remodeled. The breakfast set up was marvelous. They did only have one operational elevator when I visited and the one that did work seemed loud. I usually take the steps, but when I had to use the elevator with my bags it took some time. The front desk staff was kind. I also felt safe with the locked doors everywhere, you even needed a key to get into the first floor restrooms which I’ve never seen at a Hilton property. The location is in driving range of multiple restaurants.

    We made hotel reservations here in November and had paid in full. When we got to the hotel after traveling 12 hours in our car, they said they were very sorry, but they gave our room away! It was only 9 PM! Then they told us the hotel was full, and there were no more rooms that they could rent to us that night. I showed them the receipt and confirmation number, and they acknowledged that they gave that confirmation number away to another couple who came in earlier. By the time we found another hotel it was 11:30 PM and we had been traveling for about 15 hours. I have never seen a hotel act like this before. They called the manager at my request, but he said he couldn’t speak to us about it or give us a refund. We did feel bad for the little clerk at the desk because she kept apologizing. She did give us two free bottles of water, although she was afraid she might be in trouble for that. Addendum: I received a reply from this hotel saying they have no record of our stay, so I tried to send a copy of our paid reservation. They apparently don't allow responses from the customers. I posted it on Google maps which is the best I can do. The room was paid for in November and they do not want to acknowledge their mistake. Now I have to file a dispute with my credit card company. Recommend you don't pay in advance for this hotel until they replace their manager.
