I would not recommend staying here, especially for families traveling with children. My experience with the front desk—specifically an employee named Ami—was extremely disappointing. She was unhelpful, dismissive, and provided inaccurate information, which only added to an already frustrating situation.
The hotel does not offer cribs, which is a major issue for families (unless the information I was given was incorrect). When we needed luggage carts, none were available at the front desk. Ami claimed she saw someone bringing one down in the elevator, but no one ever arrived. When we reached our floor, we found two carts sitting unused by the elevators.
The elevator itself is another serious problem. It shakes and makes very loud noises while in use, and because our room was next to it, the noise continued throughout the night and kept us awake.
Safety was also a major concern. The surrounding area felt unsafe, and there were two intoxicated men sitting in a truck in the hotel parking lot. When my sister and I walked to our car, they asked us if we had beer or drugs and continued to harass us until we had to practically run away. This was extremely unsettling, and there was no visible hotel staff addressing the situation.
The room had multiple maintenance issues. The TV did not work, and neither did the refrigerator. This was particularly upsetting because I rely on the fridge to store breast milk—its failure put 34 oz of milk at risk, which represents hours of pumping and more than a full day’s worth of food. Additionally, the floor near the door was extremely sticky and felt unclean.
To make matters worse, the third-shift employee yelled at a guest for ringing the doorbell more than once, even though no staff member was present when the guest initially arrived.
Overall, the customer service, cleanliness, safety, and maintenance fell far below acceptable standards. I would only consider staying here if you are traveling without children and have very low expectations for both comfort and guest support.

This hotel is so worn out. In need of a total renovation. The beds, so hard and uncomfortable. The AC unit couldn’t be adjusted lower so it stayed warm in the room we were in. The mini fridge did not work. The elevator was sketchy. Pool was unavailable due to whatever the reason they said. Also, other unappealing aesthetics. The front staff were mostly friendly, the lady who checked me in gave me two bottles of water, very thoughtful. The room was as clean as it could be, it’s just so worn out. The linens and towels were fresh and clean. The bathroom was mostly clean with the exception of some stray pubic hairs on toilet rim, shower and floor. The cleaner did not provide a new roll of toilet paper. Lots of outside noise due to the location of the hotel. It is not too far away from Mayo Clinic. Definitely not worth the money paid to stay one night and will never be back. Stayed 9/18/25.

Have stayed here 3x and my most recent trip will be our last. BEWARE: the hotel’s pool is purportedly “under maintenance” and we were advised it’s been unusable for past 3 weeks. ALSO, beware that sundries shop is undergoing renovations but you won’t see anybody working to complete the project which should have been completed a while ago. SO NO ONE IS WORKING ON SUNDRIES SHOP OR THE POOL. The room was OK and acceptable for a Hampton but the 2 sinks had hot water issues, which were promptly corrected by a great maintenance mgr. The breakfast food was good and we didn’t see any issues with sanitation, bugs, etc. The worst part of the stay was a daytime lady front desk clerk who should not be in hospitality industry or any Hilton property. She was very curt, dismissive and unprofessional. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel. It is NOT 3-star accommodations and if you are looking for higher quality, just stay next door at Townplace Stes by Marriott or the new Hilton Hotel at Mayo Clinic’s campus. This hotel is a dive and has an undesirable location near corner of busy, congested Beach and Hodges intersection. Lastly, they accept just about any breed of dog and the guest demographics were a bit unsettling and seemingly fringe. At one point, we believe we saw a few prostitutes. In closing, please stay elsewhere for a few more dollars and save yourself the stress of poor facilities (such as the inaccessible pool, the unmanned and improperly sealed off sundry shop construction, rickety/raggedy elevators, and substandard optics of hotel decor). This hotel isn’t that old but has gone down very fast. JUST AVOID IT IF YOU CAN AFFORD TO PAY MORE THAN $175/NIGHT. We checked out and went to the real, brand new Hilton.
