I want to start by acknowledging the staff — every service worker I encountered was kind, professional, and attentive. Their hospitality was truly the best part of my stay. However, the room itself had several issues that really impacted the experience. The space looked like it needed to be re-renovated; the paint was chipping, and there was a noticeable gap in the doorway that made the room feel less private. The shower also had problems — the water didn’t flow all the way down properly and began to rise, and there was a lingering odor that was hard to ignore. Additionally, the room did not include a refrigerator or microwave, which are usually standard amenities and would have been helpful. Overall, the hotel’s aesthetics felt outdated and in need of a meaningful upgrade. While the staff delivered great service, the room conditions left much to be desired. I hope the property can address these concerns to match the quality of their team.

Only reason this place gets 2 stars is because of the view/balcony and the friendly breakfast service. Otherwise, stay away! Let’s list all of the reasons you should stay somewhere else: - the rooms truly feel like someone was probably unalived in them - they are extremely dated, the carpet is terrifying, everything falling apart - the shower was gross and drain was clogged - the products they give you are mismatched and of very poor quality - the walls are PAPER thin, you can hear absolutely everything from the rooms around you - while the gym had a decent amount of equipment, the water, hand sanitizer and machine wipes were ALL empty. Such an easy fix? - a small bottle of Aquafina water from the lobby is SIX DOLLARS. You’d think for such a crappy hotel they’d at least cut you some slack with the price of their items, but you’d be wrong I think I could go on and on, but in conclusion: stay somewhere else

So I will caveat this by saying that the staff are doing the best they can with what they have. The service was excellent, staff was very nice, and the riverfront is a great view and close to restaurants and such. But this hotel DESPERATELY needs renovations. The lobby and restaurant are nice, so you can't tell just by walking in. But the room was literally falling apart: Chipped paint, no hot water, permanently stained bathtub, raggedy furniture, ripped carpet. The front desk was nice enough to switch me to a *slightly* less terrible room that at least had hot water. And I can say the sheets and towels were clean as well. The staff said it's an older property and their renovations keep getting pushed back. But I say to the management company to please prioritize that sooner than later. It was pretty disappointing because DoubleTrees are usually decent hotels.

Beautiful view of a gorgeous city, fantastic location, and amazing customer service from Ashanti, Ronna, and Brooks and Ahmed (hotel valets)! We really appreciated the upgrade as Diamond members, unfortunately the negative experience was overwhelming! We were upgraded to Room 1001 and were excited to enjoy our first stay at the Doubletree! The room was spacious enough, but had a really musty smell and furniture that appeared to outlive its expected use, and the bed was not as comfortable as other Hilton properties that we’ve stayed at. What immediately caught our attention was the heavily soiled couch and splatter marks on the walls. We also didn’t realize that the elevator was as loud as it was and made it very difficult to get any sleep for the two nights that we stayed. Our second night was worse as my wife found a roach on the bed. If things could get any more challenging , she woke up to another roach crawling on her! Ronna stated that a renovation was planned for the hotel and was gracious enough to make an adjustment with the parking charges, but this experience was entirely unacceptable!

Great location trash rooms and service. We stayed here for my husband’s Marine Corps ball. We paid over $200 for one night in a trash room. Paint is peeling off the walls, the shower is full of mold, and getting hot water takes literally more than five minutes of running the water. Plus, our TV was not working. To be fair, I didn’t notice these things before 10 PM when we were done with the ball, but when we let the front desk know their answer is OK we will make a note. During the ball, while ordering drinks, their prices weren’t consistent. They went up. My first drink was $10.75, then my second drink was $12.75. Same server. When I asked why the second was more than the first, she looked at me blankly and said oh I will give you an extra shot. I’m wondering how many people she did that to who had their fair share of alcohol and didn’t notice. I will Gladly provide pictures to anyone who does not want to waste their time even considering this hotel.
