I suppose this would be a super convenient hotel for the airport, but we didn’t need that convenience.
It was a last minute booking. While the check-in and staff was a good experience, the room was not. As soon as we walked in the chemical smell over took us. Clearly they’re trying to cover up a moldy mildew smell. The peeling paint in the shower revealed what looks like black mold and the vent above the shower was also filled with mold. We were never able to get the room below 70 and the humidity was uncomfortable.
Thankfully the beds were comfortable.
For over $300 a night, I’d expect a little more. But it was only one night - thank goodness. If it hadn’t, we would have left!

I wish I stayed somewhere else. Flew in very late and needed a hotel close to the airport for one night. At all my points of contact with front desk staff they sounded grumpy and borderline rude. Not service oriented. The interior of the hotel is run down. The room is okay except for the extremely noisy AC. I slept very poorly due to the noise. This night was also very expensive and totally not worth it. Shame to Hilton.

Glorified motel wrapped in a Hilton name. The moment you enter the room, there is a strong stench. Staff is aware of this already but no action has been taken. Then, the hvac, which must be 50 years old did not work- needed the maintenance guy to make the hot water go through the right pipes. He knew exactly what was wrong and what had to be fixed. Looks like a a common issue in this hotel. Then, the water in sink and tub do not drain quickly- gross if you ha e to stand in it. The carpets, doors, walls haven't been updated in maybe 20-30 years. On top of this, they charge for parking, wi fi and breakfast. Ofcourse, they charge you like a hilton. Will never go this property but more importantly will never be able to trust a hilton property.

I stayed at this location 31 Jan 2026 while in town for work. I’ve stayed here in the past and genuinely use to enjoy it, which makes this experience especially disappointing. Overall the bathrooms are extremely outdated. Because of this issue, I had to be moved from my original room to another one that was more acceptable which was inconvenient and frustrating after a long day of travel. The departure morning, after I prepared for the day I noticed there was a bug in the bathroom, I had it removed by housekeeping imagine how I felt knowing it had been in there with me the whole time. 😭The bathroom sink was also clogged and they also had to fix that.
****Warning, just book elsewhere.*****
What’s more disappointing is that I was told the manager would contact me to discuss the experience, but that never happened.
In 2026, spending your money supporting big companies and not even getting a dollar back refunded from unpleasant experiences you’re paying for is baffling. I travel alone frequently and this property used to feel like a safe, reliable little getaway when I’m in the area. Now I’m preparing to return to Jacksonville and have to start over trying to find a hotel I trust and feel comfortable staying at. I truly thought this place was my go to in the beautiful area but now I feel like I can get better quality and value elsewhere and I’m seriously considering switching brands entirely maybe the Hyatt Place there will be better than Hilton.

Recently stayed here while on business. I started my trip off in one room but started to feel under the weather while residing in the room. I was trying to tough it out since I'm not one to complain. Unfortunately I couldn't take it any more and asked the front desk for a new room. Ms. Ami was absolutely amazing! She really does care about those who are residing on the property and ensures they have a pleasant stay.
The rooms could use a little upgrading. In the bathrooms the paint was starting to peel on the ceiling. Probably due to no ventilation or exhaust fans in the bathroom, carpets throughout the hallways could use a deep steam cleaning or replacement, and room service(cleaning) could use a little more attention to detail (the comforter in my room had stains in it prior to my arrival and was never changed out within my two week stay).
The breakfast on site was not free. This is the first time I stayed at a Double Tree and assumed breakfast was included like most other Hilton hotels. You have two options for breakfast; buffet for $22 or order from the menu. I ordered from the menu every time (3 breakfast) and found it cheaper than buffet with similar items. The restaurant service was great as well as the food. No complaints.
Rooms only come with refrigerators. No microwaves. The gym was nice with enough equipment to make a okay workout. Laundry room was small with only 2 washers and 2 dryers (cost $3 to wash/$3 to dry) which wasn't an issue due to it seemed like only my business group was using them. There was a small coffee shop downstairs by the lobby that was descent.
For those with health issues (asthma for example) I'd probably recommend somewhere else to stay. Everyone in my party (10 total people / 7 total rooms) all ended up with soar throats, runny noses, coughing up phlegm, and sneezing. While away from the hotel for hours due to work we would feel better. But the mornings were tough. Some rooms had a musty smell to them, mold in the vents, and one room had cockroaches in it.
Overall descent stay thanks to Ms. Ami (front desk), Mr. Bert (coffee bar), and the restaurant staff but unsure if I'd stay at this property again just do to the rooms.
