There were stains all over the walls, cobwebs all around the ceiling, and dead flies in several areas of the room. We decided not to spend the night because even the hallways were dirty too. The worst part was even after telling the front desk about the issues and showing them pictures they would not refund us. They said all they could do is mark our reservation as cancelled and we may or may not get a refund. This is not the service I expect from hiltons.

Very personable, professional and outgoing. We were enthusiastically and warmly greeted by Santrel. Such a lovely woman. She made us feel like royalty and treated us very well. She knew our names before we reached the front desk! We had breakfast in the restaurant and did not catch our server’s name but she was so cool and personable. We had a great chat with her. We had lunch in the restaurant and were treated so kindly by Natalya. She let us sit in the restaurant for a long lunch so we could catch up with a distant relative. Natalya was so engaging and sweet. I wish I could eat lunch at the restaurant everyday. Overall: The people who work at Double Tree at Jacksonville Airport treat this hotel like it is their home and they treat everyone with warmth and kindness. Everyone is so engaging.

Our first room, the shower handle broke and water flooded into the tub, nonstop. We had to listen to that and stay in that room until they tried to fix it, but couldn’t. Moved us to the second room and I took photos of how gross it was, so we could move again. Repeat two more times. We were displaced and forcibly evacuated from GTMO and just wanted a clean place to stay. We did not get that. Supervisor was sassy. “It’s the [football] game this weekend, so we don’t have any other options. This is it”. Rude. We travel from GTMO and normally stay here, never had this issue. Wont be staying here again and will be telling all our friends as well.
