  I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Crowne Plaza Jacksonville Airport in Jacksonville, FL. Although I am delayed in posting this review due to a busy schedule, I felt it was important to take the time today to share my experience in hopes that others will think twice before booking this hotel. I originally made a reservation online for three days but ended up extending my stay by adding one day before my arrival and two additional days at the end. I was in town for a surprise birthday celebration for my best friend and coordinating multiple guests, so it was important that everything went smoothly. When I checked in, I specifically asked the front desk to make sure I could remain in the same room for the duration of my stay. Unfortunately, that request was not handled properly. I had to get my key reactivated after the first day, which I was told would be a one-time issue. However, I ended up having to rekey my card repeatedly throughout my stay, including on consecutive days. Having to go back to the front desk each time was tedious and frustrating. At one point, I was told the issue may have been due to the key being “demagnetized.” I explained that this was not possible, as the key had been in my back pocket the entire time and nowhere near my phone. I could understand having to reactivate my card once or twice due to the multiple reservations, but having to do this continually for each night of my stay was ridiculous. Cleanliness was also an issue. On my first day, while preparing the room to be comfortable for my stay, I discovered a hair in the tub—something that should have been caught during basic housekeeping. There were also serious concerns about the condition of the building. The elevator on my side of the hotel sounded extremely loud and unstable. Another guest even warned me not to use it, saying that not only did it sound terrible, but people had reportedly gotten stuck in it. I avoided that elevator entirely during my stay. Unfortunately, my room was located right next to it, so I had to hear the noise constantly. While I could have requested a room change, I chose not to since I had already cleaned and settled into the room and was spending most of my time with my friend for the event. To make matters worse, while I was downstairs addressing my concerns, another guest approached the desk about a broken iron—and it was their third time coming down for the same issue. That alone speaks volumes about the lack of responsiveness and attention to guest needs. By the last night, I was at my wits’ end. When I came in late and had to deal with the key issue yet again, the front desk associate acknowledged the situation and told me he had contacted the manager, who would be off the next day but would follow up with me. It has now been six months, and I have never received that call. That lack of follow-through says everything about how this property handles customer concerns. When my concerns were raised during my stay, I was offered points as compensation, but I declined. At that point, I had no interest in returning to this property or any affiliated hotel. The only reason I continued my stay was because I was coordinating plans with other guests who were arriving for the event. Overall, the experience was frustrating and disappointing, especially given the importance of my trip. I would not recommend this hotel based on the lack of organization, accountability, and basic service standards.

  Good hotel, near lots of restaurants and even has a good bar within the hotel. Room was very clean and plenty of room. Cons: *Small shampoo and conditioner provided *You have to pay for parking! 10 dollars a day.

  This hotel is in a great area for last minute shopping before you hop on your cruise. They make you pay for parking, which seems to be a staple here in jacksonville. They have a breakfast on site. Limited items, but it does the the job.

  We stayed her for a conference over the weekend. Everything about this hotel from the time we checked in until we checked out was absolutely great! The entire staff was outstanding from Hannah and Stacy taking care of us before, during, and after we arrived to Moe and Chris at the bar in the evenings. Alan and Josh also did a fantastic job with helping our AV and planning teams get everything ready in the conference rooms. As someone who goes to a lot of hotels, the banquet food was the BEST I've had in a long-time. Hannah, Josh, and Alan all made sure our attendees with dietary restrictions were well taken care of, and those without also. Highly recommend the Runway breakfast!! Thank you all for the wonderful weekend, and looking forward to coming back for years to come.
