Clean and pleasant hotel near a bowling alley. Helpful friendly staff. Complimentary breakfast. Outdoor pool. Fitness area. Laundry.
My mattress was super firm but I prefer a medium mattress. Wish paper plates and food scraps were collected as compost. No need for plastic utensils wrapped in more plastic. Use compostable utensils. They do it at the University of Vermont.

Only a few minutes from the Jacksonville Beach Pier. Great breakfast and the room was very clean.

This was easily one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. The room never had proper hot water—the temperature only reached 87°F, which isn’t even usable for a shower.
The night before, we spoke to the male on duty who claimed maintenance had already fixed it around 8 PM. That clearly wasn’t true, because hours later at midnight there was still no hot water, and by the next morning nothing had changed.
In the morning, another front desk staff member told us we’d be switched to a different room after we got back from the beach. When we returned, absolutely nothing had been done. No room, no fix, no follow-up—just empty promises.
Carmen at the front desk was especially awful—rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in helping. Every interaction with her felt like we were inconveniencing her just by asking for basic service.
At the bare minimum, a hotel should provide hot water and staff that are willing to help. This place failed on both. I would never stay here again.

I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The entire facility had no hot water, and what’s worse is that management and staff were fully aware of the issue but failed to inform guests at the time of booking or even at check-in.
On our first night, we were told around 8 PM that maintenance was working on the problem. Traveling with two toddlers, we waited patiently, hoping it would be resolved. By 10 PM, there was still no hot water. The next morning, we spoke with the front desk and were assured we would be moved to a new room with hot water by 12 PM.
After spending the day at the beach, we returned expecting a solution. Instead, when we asked Carmen for our new room key, she was extremely rude and dismissive. She told us we were not getting a new room, that we had to stay where we were, and that there was nothing she could do about the lack of hot water. She claimed maintenance checked the temperature and it was only 87 degrees—clearly not hot—and even admitted they “never have hot water.”
Her behavior went beyond poor customer service. Carmen continued to harass our family whenever we passed through the lobby, whispering about us and calling us names. She even called our room while my daughters were napping to tell us that since we weren’t happy, we should just leave. When I expressed that I felt harassed and asked to speak with a manager, no one ever followed up.
This was an awful experience and a terrible representation of what I expected from this hotel brand. I would not recommend staying here, especially for families.

Room provided had a very noisy AC unit. We also had a party going on in the next room! We were unable to sleep!
Called the front desk and were told he couldn't get away to do anything. Didn't offer to call.
We finally went down to the front desk and the desk clerk finally agreed to change our room.
We were very unhappy, overall, with this experience. No plans to return to any Holiday Inn Express!
