This is the 3d Hampton Inn where, over the past yr, my phone connected to the property WIFI, but my chromebook couldn't--some sort of network gateway issue, whatever that is. My off-the-shelf chromebooks used to work in Hampton Inns and continue to work in the Marriott chain, but not anymore, and front desk clerks are no more able to figure this out than I am. So, I guess I won't be staying at Hampton Inns anymore for stays of more than a few hrs during long car trips. Giving up on Hampton Inns isn't as big of a deal, as it would have been a few yrs ago. The Hampton Inn Breakfast Experience has become pretty tired. Lots of overprocessed food products. Some fruit, sometimes not over- or under-ripe. The hot oatmeal is a good option, but no whole milk. And all in the noisy atmosphere of local news blaring from multiple TV's and top 500 hits from the 1980s pounding away from multiple speakers embedded, I suppose, in the ceiling. Given Hampton Inn's slow, steady rise in room rates, the price:value ratio isn't what it used to be.

The lady at check in, who was also working at check out, was extremely nice and helpful. We did not get her name, but she is around 5' 4", has dark hair, and wears glasses. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast had something for everyone. It is not a noisy area and the rooms seem to be insulated well. Our morning starting point was Ponte Vedra beach, so this was an excellent location. There are also some nice shopping areas nearby, including Trader Joe's, so you can pick up snacks for longer visits. We will definitely be back.
