Our first room, the ac wasn’t working so I asked to switch rooms. It was super easy. Our new room, the ac worked great! Slept with it at 68 degrees.
My daughter loved the pool.
The restaurant was great.

Only good part about this hotel is you see the water. The rooms are nasty and old. They’re from the 90’s for sure . Stayed here 4 nights and had to beg someone to bring my towels and maybe empty my garbages. Then the maintenance guy starts washing my window and door at 8am and it’s currently 9:23 and he’s still standing outside my room door with a hose and a broom scrubbing the door.. I know for a fact there’s rooms
Down the hall that are empty. And he insists on detailing the freaking hallway loud as hell outside my door

Hotel itself is old, dilapidated, and tired. Badly in need of a refresh. If you want that going to a rundown New Jersey beach town vibe in the late 1970s, this is the destination for you. This place is unacceptable compared to the competition available in South Florida in 2026.
This place needs to close for a season and renovate, because:
The location is amazing for Ft Myers. Perfect views from the balcony, easy access to downtown and regionally via car, free parking is an excellent value. Terrific restaurants within walking distance / short drive.
The staff service is excellent. Everyone is doing their best to make a quality product from inferior ingredients. And they are doing pretty well!
So much potential. So much opportunity wasted because the owners of this building are being cheapskates. This place is giving vibes of "the last puff of a cigar" when it could be so, so much better and probably more profitable for the owners.
Bite the bullet, get the investors, get the loan, and fix this place up.

Ed, the manager was very accommodating and helpful.. He knew things about the area and was helpful about that. And he was friendly. Lisa, our housekeeper won above and beyond to make sure we're comfortable and take care of all needs regarding the room. I could not say enough about lisa. Juanita, the housekeeping supervisor on the other hand was nasty. When asked several questions regarding the room. It was somebody that truly hated her job and and it showed. My wife asked her to clean the room and put fresh towels in there and she got nothing but excuses and nastiness, and I mean nasty. On the other hand lisa our housekeeper, like I said, when above and beyond with all in every request regarding the room. When I go to a best Western anywhere in the country. I want a manager like ed and a housekeeper like lisa. Both were great examples of my expectation when i'm traveling. So Best western take note these two are a shining example for your company and find examples..

Okay, the overall experience was 5 stars, but in the category of rooms I gave 4. This is definitely an aged building and while it maintained and quite nice, we did experience leaking in our bathroom ceiling from the condensation of the air conditioning. It wasn’t such an inconvenience that we needed to move rooms or anything, we just got an extra towel to wipe up the small puddle that periodically appeared. Besides that, we had a beautiful view with balcony access. The restaurant located between the two towers was convenient and also where breakfast was being served. No complaints on that. It’s very close to the downtown area which was very convenient and it’s easy to get back to.
