  A great location and comfy rooms. The problem was the staff. When we checked in we were told that we could have a late 2pm checkout with my status. Before going up to our room we asked a couple of more times if we were all set with the late checkout or if we needed to confirm later that night or even the morning of and the front desk employee assured us we were set for the late checkout. At 5:30am we had the phone in our room ring which woke us up. We never asked for a wake up call. Then starting at 8:30am housekeeping banged on our door trying to come in. 9:30am again this time not even knocking just trying to open the door. We had the do not disturb sign on the entire time. They proceeded to do the same at least 4 more times up until 1pm when I finally called the front desk telling them to stop. When we checked out the front desk apologized. They then radioed up to say our room was checked out. Why wasn't this done earlier or why would the cleaning staff try to enter our room so many times without hearing from the front desk that we had not checked out yet? Also when we did leave our room the cleaning staff at another room down the hall just gave us a dirty look and didn't even say anything. This made what was supposed to be a relaxing stay cation quite the opposite and ruined our IHG Anniversary night reward stay. We stayed here a few years before and did not have this problem. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable and should not occur at a large company like IHG and certainly never would at a Marriott property, especially to someone with a status level. We will never stay here again and discourage anyone from booking here. A terrible disappointment.

  This location is mediocre at best. Property needs TLC everywhere. Check in was quick but front desk staff was very unfriendly and not welcoming at all! Not offered any water like other locations. Immediately noticed elevator floors very dirty-our room was just basic, and same, TLC needed. Furniture, doors, walls chipped or worn. Grout in the bathroom looked like a 4 yr old was hired for the job. Guess they don't believe in attention to detail. $350 price was a ripoff. Overall not impressed. Only plus was its very close to cruise port.😖

  We had a very disappointing experience during our recent stay. The only positive aspect of this hotel is its proximity to the airport, which was convenient for our early flight. Unfortunately, everything else fell far below expectations, especially considering we paid nearly $400 for just one night. The toilet in our room was not flushing properly, and despite calling the service desk for assistance, no one showed up for hours. Additionally, the air conditioning was not working, leaving the room uncomfortable and difficult to sleep in. While we were only staying overnight, it was still extremely frustrating and disheartening to deal with these issues at such a high price point. Basic amenities and timely service should be a given, not a struggle. I would not recommend staying here unless it is absolutely necessary.

  We had a cruise scheduled and had a 2 night stay in Ft. Lauderdale before the cruise started. I chose this hotel because they had an airport shuttle and could arrange transportation to the cruise terminal. When we arrived I had to call numerous times letting the phone ring forever before someone finally answered the phone so I could request the shuttle to the hotel. If anyone is considering this hotel for the free airport shuttle should think again. When we got to the hotel, there was only one person checking people in, not very efficient. It didn't seem like answering the phone was that difficult. In fact, when I was next to check in, the staff member answered the phone and proceeded to spend about 5 minutes helping them while I and 2 more people behind me had already been waiting to check in. Staff needs to be instructed on what to do when the phone rings and someone is at the desk at the same time. The hotel room had a view of the water treatment plant (and the smell that goes with it). I guess that is the price you pay for the proximity to the port. The room was in desperate need of a remodel. The bathroom had caulk coming up all around the shower. There was a smell that was a mix of sewage, air freshener, humidity, and oldness. The price we paid was absolutely outrageous for the accommodation provided. On the plus side, there were many places to eat in walking distance and there is a Publix too. Also, all the housekeeping and breakfast attendant staff were very friendly and nice. And whoever is stuck babysitting that pancake maker needs a raise! I would not stay here again.

  I had a wonderful experience at the Holiday Inn Express thanks to Crystal at the front desk. From the moment I arrived, she was incredibly welcoming, professional, and helpful. She went above and beyond to make sure everything with my check-in went smoothly and made me feel genuinely valued as a guest. Her positive attitude and attention to detail really stood out, and it’s clear she takes pride in providing great customer service. Employees like Crystal make a huge difference in a hotel stay, and she truly made my visit a great one. Thank you, Crystal, for your kindness and excellent service!
