We left home early so we could arrive and enjoy the start of our vacation, but this stay was extremely disappointing and not worth the price at all. When we arrived, we found out the pool closes at 7 PM. By the time we checked in, we only had about 15 minutes before it closed, so we didn’t even bother using it. Not exactly the relaxing start to a vacation we expected. When I booked, it clearly listed that there were five people in our party, and I paid extra for the breakfast option, assuming it would cover our family. When we arrived, we were told the breakfast only covers two people because it’s listed in the “fine print.” The front desk refused to refund it or make any accommodation and instead said we could pay $20 per person for the other three people. Two of us went to check it out, and it turned out to be a very basic continental breakfast similar to what you’d find at a budget hotel. It was absolutely not worth $20 per person and honestly one of the most overpriced breakfasts I’ve seen for how little was offered. For nearly $440 for one night including parking, this place was essentially nothing more than a place to sleep. Unfortunately, the problems didn’t stop there. The toilet in our room was broken and ran all night long. I tried calling the front desk to report it, but no one answered the phone. In the morning, I wanted a quick shower before checking out and heading to our cruise. The shower looked beautiful. It was a nice walk-in design, but the water pressure was extremely weak, comparable to a rustic camp shower. I went to report it in person, but there was a long line at the front desk, so I decided to skip it and just shower on the cruise ship instead. To top it off, they charge $20 for parking. The only positive thing I can say is that the queen beds were comfortable, but that alone does not justify paying over $400 for one night. What made this even more frustrating is that we stayed at another hotel nearby on a different night that was half the price and had a much better atmosphere, including a live band, outdoor pool, and drinks being served. That stay actually felt like the start of a vacation. This one did not. Overall, the stay felt extremely overpriced for what you actually get. Between the broken toilet, weak shower pressure, expensive and misleading breakfast setup, early pool closing time, and parking fees, it was a very disappointing experience. I will not stay here again and would not recommend it. I hope management takes the opportunity to review this experience.

About two months ago, I stayed at this hotel, and apparently, breakfast was included in our package. So we went down to breakfast, and when we arrived, the person at the restaurant door was very rude. She asked if we had a coupon, and we didn't, but supposedly it was included. She practically told us that if we didn't have the coupon, we couldn't come in. I didn't like the way she treated customers. She's not good at customer service.

They are thieves!!!! We booked through Bookings.com. Our mistake we picked the wrong city. We were actually in Fort Myers not Fort Lauderdale. Within 5 minutes of booking we called them to tell them we made a mistake, asked to cancel and refund our room because we made a mistake by picking Fort Lauderdale. They told us to call Bookings.com. But we needed to find a room in Fort Myers, 2 hours away. The money had not even it their account yet. So I requested a refund from Bookings.com which I was told they would research it. Today I get a message the Crown Plaza turned us down and would not refund our money. This is so wrong....but the big corporations always win. I will never us Bookings.com again and will never stay in a hotel owned or managed by IHG EVER!!!!!!!

The hotel is rooms are fine. I would not recommend if you value safe parking and good service. During my stay, my car was hit in their parking lot, which has cameras. After two days of following up, the manager agreed to look at the cameras, and assured me they would let me know when they found the hit. After days of following up, there has been no return calls or engagement. Among other issues, was the restaurant. There is a major bug problem, and the staff is not incredibly friendly or worried about providing a good experience. I ordered a steak, it was completely undercooked, however, the waiter made no effort to fix the issue, stating that I could purchase an additional steak if this one was not to my liking. This was a work trip, and I would definitely not utilize this establishment in the future

PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO READ THIS REVIEW. We stayed here the night before our cruise. It is a very nice hotel. Shuttle from airport - called, was told where to go, picked up 1/2 hour later. Shuttle driver was excellent. Greeted by a representative of the hotel when we arrived. It was pretty flawless considering the hundred people waiting for shuttles at the time. We did have to drop off at The Holiday Inn, but it was still a quick trip. Check-in - Fast, easy, helpful. Explained the hotel Rooms - Clean, beds comfortable, bathroom updated. Only knock is no safe in room. I would rethink staying here because of that. They may want to think about adding. Sundry shop - Was able to get delicious coffee for $2 a banana and pick up a muffin and yogurt for my husband. Large selection of wine - some chilled. Not my thing but a nice amenity. Breakfast - looked and smelled delicious, dining area seemed nice. $20 for adults which seemed reasonable for a hotel. Pool - looked nice. Didn't use Terrace area - really lovely place to have coffee and write this review. Picture included. Fitness Center - nice and clean Restaurant - viewed but didnt eat. Very lovely. We went to another Mexican restaurant off-site that was the same price. Overall a very nice hotel. Clean and modern. We stayed at another well known chain last time and it was small and dirty. The only downside is if you need to pick up anything at a store for your trip - stores aren't close. No problem - we took an uber to dinner and the store. You can walk but the hotel is located on a very busy road/area. Very nice wine bar just around the corner from the hotel which you can walk to behind the hotel and staying off busy road. I would rate this a 3 star hotel - not 2 star. I've stayed in 3 star hotels that weren't as nice as this hotel. Overall - very nice experience. Thank you.
