  The staff is fantastic, can’t say enough good things about the front desk, the gentleman running the bar, and the gentleman who was managing the breakfast. All were friendly and helpful. That being said this hotel is tired. So tired. The rooms and bathrooms are grubby and need a deep clean and updates. Could be a wonderful hotel with the dirt and grime removed.

  We were going on a cruise in Jan. This hotel is in reasonable distance to cruise port with a shuttle that is offered through hotel. It is in walking distance to beach and other activities. The pool was clean and the patio both downstairs and on second floor was clean. The front desk attendant was friendly and helpful with any questions. Being in a central area it was busy. The breakfast was delicious with many options to choose from.

  For the price this very averaged experience. A lot of mold. Never had that much allergies and ive not health issue or anything at 34yo. Smell and very high %rh. A simple ERV machine in corridors with transfers duct in room would have eliminate a lot of bad reviews about the state of the hotel. Other than that staff are cool, food cool and beach proximity was very nice. In conclusion fine for a cruise transition, not so nice for a vacation stay.

  The best thing about this hotel is its proximity to Ft. Lauderdale beach. It is a tired hotel with wallpaper literally falling off the walls. While it says it is "oceanside", it is not. It's highway-side and there was no view. While there is a shuttle to the cruiseport, it is not complementary. Breakfast staff seemed weary of tourists and unhelpful Breakfast is included and should be availalble until 10 am. However, as food ran low at 9:30 am, staff refused to restock as "it's too late." Best Western Plus could do better. Would not recommend.

  The only positive thing I can say, is that the coffee was pretty good. Otherwise the hotel was a dump. Old and dirty and in poor repair. Paint peeling from the ceiling. Pool of water on the floor leaking from the AC. Tiny bathroom that was old. Noisy, slamming door, running in the hall, loud conversations next door. My recommendation would be to go somewhere else. This hotel needs a gut job and total rehab.
