The room needed maintenance, the whole place had a weird smell and the room stunk even worse. The water in the shower was not hot. $350/night is a joke

This hotel deserves a much higher rating than the current rating when we stayed (3.7). From the time we checked-in with Jenny, we were treated respectfully and informed of the basics for our stay. We encountered Marco at the elevator who once again offered his assistance with a smile. However, the star was Reginald whose customer service at breakfast was superior. We found the food stocked, tables clean and Reginald even took our trash from the table immediately after we finished eating.
The hotel is comfortable, clean and quiet with a parking lot lit up like a stadium playing field. Fuel and restaurants are all available in the area and as you probably already read, it’s a quick exit to head out to The Keys.

Room: The carpet was stained, bed was stiff, and the chair was dirty. The next day there were flea bites on my wrist. Stay at your own risk.
Bathroom: The water pressure was sad. The bottom of the tub was dirty, and their was a burn mark on the top outlet from what appeared to be a gnarly spark.
Free Breakfast: Not a single piece of fruit for breakfast, and the sausage was soggy. 🤮
My fiance is going to have a hard time convincing me to save a few bucks staying at a Holiday Inn Express.

Breakfast was good and staffed with friendly, helpful people.
We stayed 4 nights and there were crumbs, dust, small garbage items on the carpet all over the main area that were there upon check in and never got cleaned. I spilled a bit of water in the bathroom and used a towel to clean up the floor and the towel was black from dirt. I dropped something in the tile entryway and when I picked it up I couldn’t believe the filth all along the wall

Mediocre rating based on room issues. The room, positive, was clean and beds comfortable, good pillows. The biggest problem was water, unsatisfied with shower due to low pressure. Worse the second night there, water was off in the middle of the night for hours when pressure came back on the noise was horrendous. Instantly awake and on on my feet, my wife exclaming "what the hell was that?" It was our toilet, tank was empty, I have no idea why it screamed. Heard neighbors doors open and close.
I am up every night using the restroom.
The third night, the same thing happened but I had an issue with my stomach and NEEDED a functioning bathroom. Turns out the food poisoning made for a still dark departure but that is not the fault of Holiday Inn. The bathroom, making this experience so much worse, I do share with Holiday Inn.
