  The room was spacious but bed was not that great. One side of the bed sunk in like a spring has been broke in the mattress. The location is good for access to the Everglades area. You will find many dinning options close to the hotel. The pool area was clean and inviting.The pool has some shade areas and umbrellas. I would stay again but check my room first the bed is a big deal for a good sleep.

  The rooms were nice and clean but very noisy. We had a man with a child knocking on our door at 1am. We decided to stay here because of the reviews for their breakfast and the location. We got downstairs over an hour before breakfast ended and everything was empty. Four families went and complained to the front desk after us. The employee who was in charge of this area was rude and did a poor job making sure the guests were take care of. No eggs, no waffle mix, no bread, no milk for cereal, some of the juice was empty and what she did decide to refill, she did it with an attitude. We decided to cancel the 2nd and 3rd night and go somewhere else. The front desk said they would but couldn’t help us because it was booked through Trip.com. When we contacted Trip, they approved the refund but then the hotel denied it. They lied to us. When I tried to call the next day about a receipt and possible refund for the last 2 days, the “manager” kept talking over me and would not listen to my complaint. I asked for an email receipt since we had already left and turned in our keys. My request was denied. It’s been 5 days and I still haven’t received my receipt. I will never stay here again.

  Members do not use your rewards on this hotel… or book this is the worst looking one I have ever been in …everything is old chipped just awful …..if you need to stay in the south Florida dade area … trust me go to the one on Kendall … do not go to this Gateway in Homestead fl …. it feels like a Motel 8 … best western this needs to be complete demolished and rebuilt !

  Decent clean room - two stories preferred first floor because there’s no elevator and have to carry luggage up the stairs. Also no ice machine on the second floor have to go to the other side of the hotel on the first floor to get ice, which is not convenient at all. Looks like a nice pool. Didn’t have time to use it unfortunately. Little confusion during check-in and still have to call to get a deal that was displayed at check-in, but not honored.

  2 star is pushing it...I guess for 288.00 a night you would expect alot more than some very old tired looking room...I usually stay at one of the 4 Hilton brand hotels while working in the area, thought I'd give this a try for the night...not impressed....
