My gf and I chose this hotel for its location, HH member for over a decade and the breakfast options.
WE appreciated the keyless checkin, clean and spacious rooms and the check in texts from the hotel staff.
It is def a new way of hotel life, and I like it.
However, we went to Tarpon Springs to try Greek food, and I got food poisoning!!! I called the front desk as soon as I got a free moment from the porcelain god, to let them know what happened. I was in the bathroom from 7:30-12:30am and it was draining. I called to ask about Late checkout options, and was not treated kindly.
I was told that New Policy charges $15 every 1/2 hour. I assured him i was not asking for anything except some consideration towards my situtation.
Roy was the manager of duty and he was very aggressive with his reaction by saying "I am not losing my job to help someone save a couple bucks." He said well its 11 o'clock check out, and its 7:30 pm now so you have well over 12 hours from now. I found these comments disrespectful, rude, aggressive and just unkind.
The next morning, we went down for breakfast ( I could only eat dry toast) and I told Brandon of the treatment and he said he would handle it. He immediately called Roy to let him know how I was offended, disregarded and mistreated. He apologized which I appreciated but still felt like " i know we all have bad days, but I would have appreciated him keeping it professional.
Breakfast Sweeties
Cathy and Faith were kind, friendly, and helped us. They were really nice. They provided some dry english muffins, helped me to feel heard and understood with my illness.
They took their time to listen, provide smiles, and make sure that we were happy with the food and service!
I would stay here again because of people like Cathy and Faith and Brandon; people who care and it shows

Pleasantly amazed. Todd at the front desk is amazing. He gave us recommendations for the nearby beaches and was awesome. We will be back! Roy was great and the breakfast crew was great (I didn’t get the name).

I booked a hotel for son in law's dad after just burying my uncle in VA. I saw the obituary and realized that the funeral date was much later and we just got back from 2400 miles of driving. I know it was non refundable, all I needed was the date changed from Friday to Saturday night. I
I called the hotel, spoke with the front desk, stating they were able to change the date but it would cost me $130 more, but when I get here the gentleman said I don't have a reservation.
The call was recorded, I showed the date stamp of the call, and they still refused to help. We're talking $460 vs $170 since they made me pay for both nights. 4 deaths in 3 weeks, and all I asked for was some understanding and help to get it fixed so we can be there for my daughter and her husband.

I've stayed here once a month for business quite a lot recently. The hotel is easy to get to. It's close to so many different types of excellent local restaurants. And Roy, at the front desk, has been working every weekend. He is always prompt, courteous and helpful. Truly; that's a quality that's hard to come by lately. Many more business weekends to come; Happy to have found a "home base."
