I reported that the drain in the tub was backing up and they said they would send maintenance up if they could find someone. When I arrived back at 10pm that night the person on the front desk could not find any record that it was reported or serviced therefore the issue was unresolved. I had to move all of my things to another room at 10pm. This property is capable of so much more but needs a deep cleaning and proactive maintenance to achieve the level expected from IHG and its guests.

Breakfast hostess told me: "I can't put out what I don't have." Except for the check-in clerk yesterday, not a smile or greeting from a single employee. Rooms and location are great. Defuniak is a really fun town, but this property seems to have an unhappy staff. We have stayed here at several nights in the past, but it doesn't feel the same now.

This should have been seamless however once I arrived there it was not. The person behind the counter named John was rude, has horrible customer service and was not knowable. He did not greet me 1st then did not process my payment correctly. He also informed me the I was 30 minutes from loosing my room??? And that it was a good thing I came in. Once in my room I wanted to go straight to bed it was 230a I had drove 10 hr to get there and already worked a 13 hr shift at work. John came to my room and was banging on the door as if he was the cops. I answering only for John to tell me he needed me to come back down to the lobby to rerun my card again 🤯 it was now after 3am, I went down to the lobby to pay and was thrown out???? Sorry, not sorry that I was upset that you didn't do your job correctly the 1st. I won’t be returning I will be reporting this to HGI. John you and people like you should never be in a customer, you suck!!!
