  Edit since my review was replied to: I want to be clear. This wasn’t a minor inconvenience. We were moved across three rooms in four nights due to missing amenities, failed AC, and maintenance issues. My wife was also cut by a broken tile in one of the rooms. I reached out after our stay and have not received any follow-up in two months. If you would like to make this right, I am open to that. You can contact me directly to discuss a resolution. Otherwise, I would ask that future responses address the actual issues raised, not just general statements. IHG Case Number: 10586861743 has been active for two months and nobody from hotel staff has contacted me regarding the matter. There is no reason whatsoever that this review should garner a response within 48 hours but a legitimate investigative case hasn't been addressed in two months. Do better! Original Review: I stayed at the Holiday Inn Daytona Beach LPGA Blvd for four nights with my wife, our 3-year-old, and our 6-week-old. This was supposed to be a simple family trip to visit relatives nearby. It turned into a constant shuffle between rooms just to get basic conditions to sleep. We booked a 1 Bedroom Suite Sofa Bed. The first room (228) didn’t even have the sofa bed that was advertised. That alone forced us to use an air mattress for our child. The room was also directly against the elevator shaft. All night you could hear the elevator running, cables moving, doors opening, and people talking. Around midnight, a guest stood outside our window with a large Bluetooth speaker blasting music. I had to go downstairs and handle that myself. The next morning, we were moved to room 227. That sounded like a fix. It wasn’t. • Bathroom fan didn’t work • AC worked briefly, then failed again • By evening, the room was hotter than the hallway • Not usable with two small children We had to move again. This time to room 223. That room finally had working AC, but came with a new set of problems: • Toilet leaked onto the floor when flushed • Bathroom fan still didn’t work • Light flickered constantly • Carpet was separating • Broken tile cut my wife’s foot • Tub and drain looked dirty enough to question cleanliness I spent a large part of the trip moving our belongings between rooms while my wife tried to settle the kids. Let me be clear about one thing. The staff was great. Every person we dealt with was polite and tried to help. This is not a complaint about the employees. This is about the condition of the property and how these rooms were allowed to be rented. Three rooms in four nights. Multiple maintenance failures. A safety issue that caused an injury. Sleep disruption after an 8-hour drive with two young kids. The hotel gave me 1,000 IHG points. That’s roughly five dollars. I reached out after the stay. It has now been two months. No follow-up from the hotel. No real resolution from IHG. If you’re staying here and just need a place to crash for a night, maybe you roll the dice. If you’re traveling with kids and expect basic comfort and consistency, I would think twice. Would I stay here again given this experience? No.

  I have been an IHG member for 4 years, and this was the first time staying at this particular hotel, only because there were no Holiday Inn Express hotels near Daytona Speedway. Since being a member, every reservation allows you to make it with a card and it specifically says that “providing the card holds your reservation, nothing will be charged.” As with all my visits to IHG hotels, when I check in I hand them the actual card I want to use. This time, this particular hotel decided to charge my card on file for the first night and the taxes before I arrived. I explained that i needed to use a different card and the clerk tells me that it would take seven days for a refund, and that each franchise owner has the right to charge ahead of check in. Well, then it should say it when you book the room. On top of this, the air conditioner wasn’t working in our room. I asked for another room and of course they were booked up, and there were no maintenance staff available. Worse IHG experience in four years. Update: The next morning on my way out to the speedway, I spoke with a representative at the front desk and conveyed the issue to him. He was very pleasant and said he would handle the situation and would call me later that morning to update me. I did not hear from him so I called around 5 pm to get an update. A different young man named James answered the phone and I could tell that he wasn't aware of the issue but he asked if I could hold for a minute. He returned about 10 minutes later and had me assigned a new room since my a/c wasn't working. He handled the issue promptly and professionally without any excuses when three other representatives couldn't. 5 STARS FOR JAMES! That is good customer service.

  I just had a great customer service experience with Mimi at the frond desk. She was so efficient, helpful and patient and I highly recommend her managers take note of her being such a valued employee.

  This review is specifically for the staff at the front desk and the bar/restaurant. During my short stay for a work trip, I ran into all sorts of issues with my baggage/flights to and from the airport. I ended up needing to ask the front desk for random things like duct tape to help with broken luggage, getting back into my room after I missed my flight, and more. They were cheerful, helpful, and didn't bat an eye with anything I asked for. Stacy the bartender was great when I asked if I could take my food and sit on the patio with my dog - this hotel was very dog friendly! You don't usually run into all around great customer service at establishments these days, and I'm really impressed by the group at the Holiday Inn ❤️
