I wish I can give a 0 rating to this. Have not stayed here yet but had a reservation that has to be canceled and called super in advance to do this and at the time of calling while I was requesting the cancelation the hotel went ahead and charge me the full amount of 500 plus and stated I can not cancel because I use IHG One Rewards member to book. Mind you this was not told untill after the reservation was made. And it was on the confirmation in small print after the reservation was made. Meaning it was not clear or I had knowledge of this when booking. I explain this to the general manager Jennifer because I was told to speak to her directly and not only was she rude but she did not care for my explanation. There is severe weather and there is no way I can make it I try to explain this since I am a loyal member to them and instead she did not care and said she will not refund. Mind you I called a week in advance. Jennifer being the general manager should have had more etiquite in speaking to a customer. I WILL BE REPORTING THIS AND FILING A DISPUTE BECAUSE I HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF THE PREBOOKING . ROOMS ARE USUALLY PAYED AT THE TIME OF CHECKING IN OR A WHOLE FULL DAY IF CANCEL WITHIN 24 HOURS NOT THE WHOLE ENTIRE STAY THAT I ADVISED A WEEK IN ADVANCE

Stayed here for one night. We left at 6:30 AM all to drive home to get an email that says $41.21 was charged to our card from the restaurant. Called the hotel asked them what these charges were for. She wouldn’t even tell me what they were for at first that they were going to investigate it. She got back on the phone and said that someone gave them my room number was their excuse. Apparently, they do not check room numbers for guest Before charging your card. I would’ve never have known how to not caught the email. Please be aware of this.

We reserved a room at Holiday Inn Resort in Daytona Beach several weeks in advance. The price was very expensive for night one ($511.88+$58.75 resort fee). The 2nd night was going to be about $109. We understand the high cost for night one due to the Daytona 500 event. This property is more of a motel than a hotel. However, when we went into the room, it was far below the IHG standards we are accustomed to. We did not stay there and asked for a refund and the Front Desk Manager refused. We left anyway and found another IHG property about an hour west in Orlando for $194.63 taxes included. This hotel was more like the standards of IHG properties we have experienced and expect. Had the property in Daytona not been associated with IHG, we would not have given it a second look. I hope IHG will investigate the condition of the Daytona property and require changes to be made. Frankly, I think the property should be demolished and rebuilt to modern standards of most IHG properties.

Stayed in a sea view room at Holiday Inn Resort Daytona Beach and it truly gave me a relaxing and peaceful feeling. Waking up and seeing the ocean right outside the balcony was amazing — the sound of the waves and the open view instantly helped me slow down and unwind. The atmosphere here makes you forget about stress and just enjoy the moment. Sitting by the balcony, looking at the sky and ocean felt like a mini reset for both mind and body. Free parking was a big plus and made the stay very convenient, especially for travelers driving like me. The only downside was the $35 resort fee, which I wish was included upfront — but overall the experience was still very enjoyable. Great location, beautiful ocean view, and perfect for anyone who just wants to relax and recharge. I would definitely come back again.

1-Star Review – Unsafe Conditions and Poor Communication I had a very disappointing and unsettling experience at this hotel. During my stay, I discovered what appeared to be a bed bug in my room and immediately reported it to the front desk with photo evidence. I was moved to another room that evening, but no notes or documentation were made on my account about the incident. The following morning, when I called to check out and escalated my concerns, I learned that the staff on duty had no awareness of what had happened and no record that any issue had been reported. This lack of communication was extremely frustrating and concerning, especially given the nature of the complaint. It also raises the question of what prevents the hotel from simply renting the same room out again without proper inspection. In addition to the insect concern, the bathroom ceiling panel in the original room fell down while my son was showering, which was a serious safety hazard. The toilet in that same room also did not function properly. These are fundamental maintenance issues that should never occur in a guest room. After I escalated the situation the next morning, I did receive apologies and was offered a resort fee credit. However, this only happened after I pointed out that nothing had been documented and that the situation had essentially been ignored overnight. I was also told that unless a third-party vendor verifies the insect concern, they have “nothing else to tell me,” despite the fact that I provided photos and maintenance staff initially indicated it resembled a bed bug. The most troubling part of this experience was not just the condition of the room, but the lack of internal communication and accountability. Guests should not have to repeatedly re-explain serious safety and sanitation concerns, nor wonder whether those concerns are being taken seriously at all. Overall, this stay left me feeling dismissed and unsafe. Proper documentation, follow-through, and basic room maintenance should be standard expectations, not exceptions. I would not recommend this property based on how this situation was handled.
