Welcome to Best Western, where even the roaches have their own reservations and honestly seem more relaxed than I was.
Please enjoy your stay under the benevolent reign of the Head Maid, whose attitude could peel paint off the walls. Truly a once‑in‑a‑lifetime experience. Imagine if Nurse Ratched and Sweeney Todd decided to co‑parent a hospitality professional — that’s the vibe. Warmth of a glacier, charm of a DMV line, and bedside manner that suggests she’s personally offended you dared to exist.
But don’t worry — the front desk women are absolute angels. They’re out here performing emotional triage, damage control, and customer service CPR just to counteract the chaos happening behind the scenes. They deserve medals, raises, and possibly hazard pay.
Hall ways smell the worst I can ever imagine the floors are dirty and they do not vacuum the rooms good at all. The pool would be nice it they don’t clean it because there is nasty stuff on the bottom and floating. If it’s all you can afford then stay but if you can stay somewhere else a lot nicer without bugs then do so!
No microwave anywhere in the motel. Refrigerator malfunctioned and froze beverages even at the lowest setting. Carbon detector blinking light is so bright that it lights up the entire room each time it blinks

STAY AWAY! Far away! RUN! Disgusting! Horrible!! Harassment! Staff cussing! Reeks of cigarettes & weed in hallways and room. This is our 3rd stay in this hotel for bike week and it’s always been convenient and no real issues- until check-in tonight. Walked in and no one was at the front desk for a solid 5 minutes, no big deal as I went to the lobby restroom as my husband waited for someone to greet us to check in. This male employee finally came out and we started the check in process. He said we owed for our stay, I asked if I’d already paid for the reservation online when booking it originally. He ignored me, then started talk to another man. I began to search for my original booking email and asked him another question of what day it was booked- to help me find the email. He ignored me again. Then started on a conversation again to the other man that seemed to be a friend of his. I asked this man a third time and he still ignored me and kept taking to someone behind me, when we’ve been kind & patient while waiting- we’re excited for our weekend! Finally told him “I’ve asked you three questions and you continue to ignore me.” This man SNAPPED yelling and cussing at my family with our small child with us. I’ve never EVER had any issues with this Best Western, any Best Western, nor any other hotel as we are frequent travelers. This man would not provide his name nor the name of a superior. Absolutely disgusting. To be completely ignored, disrespected, screamed and then cussed at with F-bombs, and with our small child present. We book this location because of its convenience and price, but 10000% NOT worth the hassle of getting harassed by this staff member! We will NEVER stay at this location again, ESPECIALLY seeing how the rooms have gone WAY downhill since last year’s stay, the entire hotel hallways and room reeks of cigarettes & weed, floors disgusting! Depending how tomorrow goes once we speak to management to look back at the recording of our whole check-in process in the morning, we could be done with Best Western completely.
EDIT: Found giant cockroaches in our room and took video and photos to show front desk staff, new staff for shift change, two women. They moved our room and now it reeks worse than the downstairs hallway like a dead animal is in this room. Have called every hotel in the area but all are sold out and a roadtrip away from home. They can not comp anything as they stated management only has authority which will be here Monday. It’s bike week and tomorrow is Saturday, yet no management on site???

First time at the Daytona speedway for the Daytona 500. Parking was few and far between, but two lovely people from this hotel (yes, they had blue button up shirts with best western printed right on them) directed us to park near the back of the hotel in a grass curb area. We parked where instructed, walked up to the second person who told us where to go and expected to owe a payment. She told us to have a great day, we were good to go, nothing was needed of us. Tens of cars parked in the same area, no passes or anything to be seen. Some even parked in an area with a “private property, no parking” sign. We were in the grass, not a parking spot, as we were directed, surrounded by many other cars doing the same. Well to our surprise after the race, we walk all the way back to see there is no car. We go inside to ask the woman working the front desk, she said nothing and just held up a piece of paper with a phone number on it saying we need to call them and didn’t answer any questions we had, just a blank stare. We call, it’s a local towing company. They inform us it is a $420 fee to retrieve our car and we need to get ourselves there and pay it. We ordered several Ubers and lyfts which were all cancelled due to congested traffic and a high volume of calls. We even called yellow cab, who didn’t have anyone available either. We walked—what other choice did we have? 2 hours in a thunderstorm. We get there, pay the fee, ask what we did wrong and they told us that according to Best Western, we should’ve been given a parking pass and all cars without one were called to be towed by this Best Western. We inform them we were instructed by TWO best western employees to park where we did, neither of which informed us of needing a pass. They had no other information, but the awesome thing is best western didn’t either! The front desk woman was clueless, and anyone we’ve tried to speak to in person or over the phone has no way of helping us either. So here I am, 4 hours from home, clothes drenched from the rain, feet blistered and $420 poorer. Thank you best western for advising us to park somewhere just to tow us and leave us stranded and stressed. Please inform your employees in the future to provide parking passes if they’re going to instruct anyone and everyone to park in the grass near your hotel so no one else goes through what we did.
