Makayla from the resort was amazing! She served us drinks and was so kind, attentive, and friendly the whole time. She really made the experience even better with her positive attitude and great service. You can tell she genuinely cares about guests having a good time. Definitely one of the highlights of our visit!

Makayla gives the best service! She’s super friendly, makes you feel genuinely welcomed from the moment you walk in, and really knows her stuff. She suggested an amazing drink and even made sure we ordered our food before the kitchen closed. That kind of attention and care makes all the difference. We’ll definitely be back!

The rooms were clean and spacious, the pools were clean and overall we had a good experience. The activity staff was subpar and seemed like they didn't want to be there. They were usually late showing up for the events and twice nobody showed up at all. Big Ray the driver was great! He entertained our kids and was very friendly.

Travelled with our family of 5 (kids ages 7 months, 3, and 4). Our room was down in Building 5 by the lazy river which is ideal as it’s not as loud from the music at the main pool. We had an amazing time! The rooms are starting to be a bit tired and some areas like behind the nightstands are dusty/needing a deep clean.. but the linens, towels, and kitchen supplies and utilities were very clean. Overall 4/5 for cleanliness. The laundry machines were also super clean (and free to use!!). All staff were attentive, the activities at the main pool fun and engaging for all ages!
We went to the beach one day and it was also great. Easy walk and access- there are no washrooms close which can be tricky with young kids .. but we managed!
Felt very safe with security around and locked exterior gates.
What a great week we had. We will definitely be back next year!!

UPDATE: I appreciate the response from the owner, but unless they're offering some sort of incentive to come back, (discount or comp a day, we won't be returning.) @Westgate Cocoa Beach Resort, let me know if you'd like to connect.
We’ve been staying at the Westgate at Cocoa Beach for the past three years and while we’ve really enjoyed our time there in the past, this last trip left us really disappointed.
First the good:
That staff members are very kind and polite. They are super respectful and try to help out where they can.
The pool is really fun and they do a good job and entertaining the guests and making it fun for the kids.
The best part is the proximity to the beach. A short walk and you’re right there. Great location.
Now for the bad:
The rooms have gone severely downhill. We stayed in a “luxury” suite that included a rusty dishwasher, a bathroom door that was hung crooked and would get stuck, paint that covered over old nasty paint that looked just terrible and a an odd rank smell that we could never identify nor get rid of.
We asked the staff on our first night if we could swap rooms to be closer to the pool and they were super kind and put notes in the system but unfortunately we were never able to be moved. (Despite one of the workers saying they were at 65% capacity one day 90% another day.)
To be honest, I understand it’s not always possible to move room; however, we paid over $500 a night for a pretty terrible room with loud neighbors two of the nights (till 2:30 in the morning one night.)
Two years ago or even last year I would have wholeheartedly recommended the Westgate Cocoa Beach to friends and family, or anyone for that matter. But based on our experience this year, I can’t justify the cost for the close proximity to the beach. The room was bad. Just plain bad. And that’s really a bummer to write.
Hopefully some remodeling work can happen but until then, this place isn’t worth your money.
