    Lovely hotel next to the beach .Food good .Didn't stay long enough to use full facilities only short overnight stop. Breakfast was great

    Hampton Inn Cocoa Beach/ Cape Canaveral I can sadly never recommend. I checked in on January 23rd for 2 rooms 1 night each. Upon check in they authorized/charged my card $1326.90. When speaking with the front desk worker she advised that the other worker had not done just an authorization but had already charged my card. While she was trying to figure it out as they were trying to check in my other room as I had 2 rooms that night another employee came up to see if she could help. This employee then began arguing with me that nothing was charged and that they were wrong and wouldn't let me get a word in. This is when the manager Kelly came into the picture. Kelly and I talked and she could see the charges on my account and the print out the hotel gave me. She advised that she would try to figure it out and apologized for the employees behavior. She advised that she would talk to the gm about comping the room. After going to my bank to deposit money into it as the charge sent me negative I came back and spoke with Jessica the assistant gm. She advised me that she was doing the refund and that they would comp my room and all the extra charges would fall off by morning. January 24th comes and nothing is off my bank so I again speak to Kelly when checking out explaining that nothing fell off and I am leaving in a cruise so I wont have phone service. She advised me that she would figure it out and it would be handled by the time I returned. My cruise returned on January 31st in which 3 charges have posted to my account and 1 refund. I reach out to the Hilton Customer Care number as the hotel was not being helpful and am told by customer care that I have to handle it at the hotel level. This comes the multiple phone calls, being told they will call me back and continued calls to the customer care line in attempts to get this solved. I have asked to speak to the general Manager and owner Tom and have been refused. This is over 3 weeks of them not returning phone calls and the Hilton Customer Care line saying they cant do anything. They are holding my money and refusing to speak with me...this is completely unacceptable as a brand and a hotel.

    This was my first time in Hampton and was impressed with their welcome and service. Very friendly staff and welcoming... didn't feel the same with Marriott. Being a Bonvoy Member I always prefer to book Marriott but this time I was taken by surprise. May be it's time for a change.
