Excellent facilities, brand new, and free laundry. But best of all, the wonderful, friendly, competent and welcoming, staff, everyone from the front desk, housekeeping, breakfast, maintenance, and even the shuttle driver (free round trip to the airport). One of the better Home2's I've stayed in in Florida. Will definitely return.
- BABruce ArthurDec 30, 20255.0Home2 Suites is the preferred hotel chain for our family of three for these reasons: (1) clean rooms, (2) big rooms, (3) free breakfast. By these metrics, this hotel lived up to the standards of the Home2 Suites brand. The room was big and full of nice extras like silverware and plates. The room was CLEAN: the pull-out couch bed in particular had the cleanest mattress I had ever seen on any pull-out bed anywhere. And free breakfast was fine with generous hours. As a bonus, the guest laundry (which is always in the gym in Home2 hotels) was FREE, which I haven't seen anywhere else. The only downside is that the hotel in in a dull, industrial part of St. Pete. There's not much to do around the hotel but you are right next to multiple major roads so it is easy to get to somewhere more interesting from here.

It was a last-minute reservation and we didn't arrive until late evening. The following morning -- although we'd neglected to make reservations for the free shuttle to the airport -- the hotel manager dropped everything she was doing and cheerfully drove us to the airport. But wait, the story gets much better...In line at the TSA checkpoint, my husband realized he didn't have his wallet. Panicked, we called the hotel. Their sales manager answered, and immediately sent out a team to search the shuttle van, the front desk area, and our room. On the second search of our room, they found my husband's wallet. At which point the hotel manager drove the wallet to the airport and delivered it to us personally. (And yes, we made our flight.) If that isn't above-and-beyond customer service, I don't know what is.
