Enjoyed our stay here! Came down for a few days to celebrate my husband birthday. Like that there was Beach yoga and even a complimentary photo shoot in the beach. Looking forward to returning.

I was very dissatisfied with my stay here. We paid extra fur balcony with gulf view and we got roof view with gulf and blocked with the rest of the hotel. We asked to be moved and we had parking lot view with ocean to the right. There was an awful, constant humming in the bathroom, no full length mirror, and a stack of plugs plugging into each other creating fire hazard. The pool was nice though there were renovations with constant noise and block of ocean view there with a sand mound. The bottom of the bathroom door was peeling off.

Friendly and helpful staff without being intrusive was a pleasant change from many Florida resorts. This was one of the most relaxing vacations I've ever had. Everything you could possibly want is within walking distance, so you can enjoy night life, music, food, as well as the beach, the pool (with poolside bar), or the spa. I loved just sitting on the balcony, listening to the music while people watching, but nothing comes close to watching the sunset over the Gulf from our private balcony.
This is awful place to stay! Ask for a room with a view well if you don't ask for a jr suite forget it because you get a partial view! Looking over a parking lot or the entire AC units which is so loud you can't even hear yourself talk or hear the ocean when your on the balcony. So, they changed our room to the 4th floor that was even worse could hardly see the ocean. They they switched us the next day to the 9th floor great view if you want to stand on your balcony and look out, if you sat down couldn't see over the

The resort is very well situated in the middle of everything on a powdery sandy beach (great beach!). Valet parking only (no free parking spaces) will set you back $29 as of the writing of this review.
Generally a well appointed hotel with super friendly staff. The rooms are fine (agree with most reviews that the beds in the two bed rooms are full size, not queen). I did not find my room run down (it as nice) and thought the bathroom was very nice.
The restaurants are very good. The Spotted Donkey had excellent Mexican food and the lobby bar/restaurant was also very good, with terrific outdoor seating overlooking the beach and Gulf (stay for the sunset). Tommy's Tikki bar was great, with Adirondack chairs and music to listen to while you watch the sunset. Right on the beach. Very nice.
The pool was nice albeit a bit small and can get crowded. The pool bar is a nice place to sit for drinks and food as well.
There were some issues, though. First, they did not automatically provide my $30 daily food and beverage credit. I had to ask, which means if I forgot i would not have received it. Not good and not sure why the system didn't work.
Second, there is a daily resort fee of $35 as of this writing, but the fee DOES NOT include beach chairs. How is that possible. For a resort that proclaims itself to be a beach resort to charge almost $75 per day for two chairs and an umbrella is shameful. I understand charging extra for a day bed and cabana, but come on. Especially since the guy right next store charges $50 (with tip), which is still high. The other resorts nearby do not charge guests. Also, the resort fee itself is covers stuff that would normally be included anyway (wifi, beach toys, towels, two bottles of water per day). Oh, and 10% off retail products you buy at the spa. Thanks. It also includes bike rentals for an hour at a time. Also thanks--maybe charge for the bikes that barely get used and give the chairs complimentary as a resort should do.
Unfortunately, given this ridiculous chair charge/resort fee that covers barely anything, I cannot give this hotel five stars, especially too given the room rates can get quite high, especially during high season.
So be careful. Add an extra $35 per day, plus tax, resort fee to the rate and, if you drive, an extra $29 per day for valet parking.
On the other hand, the stay will be quite pleasant, you will not need to drive anywhere (everything a short walk away) and the beach is amazing (you can bring your own chairs, just put them close to the water or on the side of the property).
