So this was the absolute worst experience I have ever had in a hotel. This was a very special occasion for me and my fiance. So when I called to book a room I said I want the absolute best suite you have available with a king size bed. The woman told me it's a full suite with extra living room and table and it would be $595 for one night and I booked it. When we arrived I'm told you have a suite with 2 queen beds. I told them I have never booked a double queen room in my entire life. The woman at the desk was the rudest person I have ever met. She said that's what you got, take it or leave it! She then tells me she has just a standard room with a king but she has to charge me the same price because I'm choosing to downgrade!! I'm not choosing, I don't have a choice I said!! It was all downhill from there. Service horrible, attitudes terrible, I have never been treated so badly. To top it all off, we ordered room service before we checked out and I had a giant black strand of hair actually cooked into my eggs! I called and told them and they said, sorry sir we will advise the kitchen. Oh thanks!! Back to back problems!! So my fiance and myself are social Media Influencers and we were actually doing a review on this property. I told them that we are doing a review and we have 200,000 followers that will see it, we gave them a fair chance to show a bit of professionalism before we post our review but they laughed at us and said, yeah everyone is an influencer today. They actually thought we were lying however, that is how we make a living. Being that we are influencers we NEVER burn people on reviews as we know how important they are. We give them every single chance possible to try to accommodate or fix any issues but this experience horrified us. Once we load our experience on our channel I will come post the link in this review. Let me add that the room was not bad, the view was beautiful, it's a shame the staff was the worst I have ever experienced.

Would give 0 stars for service and rooms if I could...my wife and I stayed here a few days ago, and the experience was abysmal. To start...everything in our room was broken or breaking. The interior of the hotel smelled very musty and sour, and the live music from the restaurant below the hotel was obnoxiously loud till 11pm, and we were on the 6th floor. The cherries on top were the sand in our sheets (which obviously had not been changed) and the pubic hair that was on the "fresh" towels in the bathroom. After bringing up my complaints to the front desk, the manager seemed unbothered and only offered to waive the $30 resort fee as a measly attempt at smoothing things over. We were supposed to be here for 4 nights, and left after the first. I will never return here and dissuade anyone else from booking too.
This is a beautiful hotel, however it is mis leading and could be viewed as a bait and switch. For example you can book a poolside room and receive a poolside room however there is one poolside room that literally faces the outdoor bathroom as your view . All rooms say Gulfview so you pay $355 for a gulfview room and you may get a beautiful view of the beach or you may be able to see a tiny bit of ocean but you are facing a wall of the next building. Personally I feel this is not fair that I paid the same amount of money and face a wall as the person who has a great view.there are also 2 queens ocean view that are the front rooms above Jimmys restaurant these are about $400 a night BUT a few of those rooms on floor 2 are right at the roof and have no view. SO my question is how is this fair????? This hotel should be pricing the bad rooms as obstructed view at a lower price. If you search the hotel and bait and switch you can see that others have e had this same issue. I did take photos of the rooms I am speaking of. Hopefully someone will fix this and stop upsetting people that are paying a lot and getting something totally different than the picture they post. Do better!

MUST READ! If you read any review. This one is the most accurate and honest. I'll start by saying the location is great and by 1st impression, a step above others. However, the place needs a ton of attention. Contrary to what their website says. The room are not updated. We had paint peeling off the walls and bathrooms. Not great when you have young kids with you. They claim they have free wifi, but when we arrived the wifi was down and the hotel for some reason would get horrible cell service. And I have Verizon. On to the more ridiculous experiences. They do not have a game room as advertised. Their ice machines where broken. The only way to get a drink in the place was a soda machine in the lobby. And guess what, that was broken too. There was other things too. Like our bathtub was broken and additional little nuances like cups and band aides in the pool, but you get the gist. (this was first thing in the morning. Clearly meaning they don't clean the pool)
The worst part was the response from the management. When I politely addressed my concerns with them. His response was and I quote, "You should have called ahead of time and we would have told you all those things were broken." Who calls ahead to make sure the bathrooms are working properly and that the ice machines are operational!
The manager further said and I quote. "If you want to check out, that is fine. Good luck trying to find another place to stay."
For the 1st time in my life, I was forced to pack up my family and move to another hotel. Check out the Opal two doors down. Absolutely worth the extra money.

First off, we paid 2,500 dollars for 6 nights here. This is definitely not a 400 dollar a night hotel. I've stayed in way better, for less, and yes the others were on the beach. Started out bad from the get go. Our first room keys were given to us without a room number. We headed to our car and got our luggage only to realize we had no room number. Finally got our room number so we went to the room and keys would not work. Went back down to lobby to get a different set of keys and check the room number. They gave us new keys and a new room number, but it was to an already occupied room. We went back down for a 3rd time for another new set of keycards and another new room. Finally got to the room, opened the door and it was a 2Q overlooking the pool. I booked a gulf view with balcony and a K bed. I called the front desk and told them the situation, she said she'd talk to the manager and call us back. Never got the call, so once again we headed back to the lobby. Asked to speak to the manager on duty. We got Nigel. We tried to explain the situation to him, but he was not having any part of it. I tried to explain to him that I was not happy with not getting what I booked, he said the Q bed was a comparable room. He said they were overbooked and that's the only room they had available. He tried to say it wasn't a downgraded room, so he would not be refunding any money. Everything I've looked up online says when you are a couple with no kids going from a K bed to a queen is a downgraded room. We booked a K for comfort, not to be smashed together for 6 nights in a Q bed. Although I don't think it would have mattered much, the bed sucked, we both sank into the middle of it every night and woke up with aching backs every day. On to the room, there was something on the threshold of the door and wall that was there the whole time we were there, the same substance was on the curtains. To me it looked like blood. There were holes in the ceiling, mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and the faucet and vent above the shower looked like they were about to fall off at any second, both were hanging by a thread. Also there is a 37 dollar daily resort fee! For what? It's not a resort, it's a ran down hotel, at best. You don't even get complimentary coffee in the lobby. Would i recommend this place? No! Can I recommend better hotels in the area? Yes! I will not be spending any hard earned money here again and neither should you. Stay elsewhere.
