Love the new towers and theming. Only issue is monorail desperately needs to be modernized. Love the monorail but it is now too slow for the local.
We love Disney Vacation Club and this was our first stay in the new Island Tower. We love it! The luxury of it, the location and views of Magic Kingdom and the lake are phenomenal! We are in a Tower duo studio and it is great for two people. The staff is amazing and we love walking around the lake to the other resorts and to the Magic Kingdom. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is a good size. There are good food options close and the pool is beautiful. We will be back!

Nothing bad to say about Disney World. We had issues with the HVAC in our room, wouldn't allow you to go above 61 degrees. Too cold for us! Took 4 hours to get fixed with no real room access but hotel was generous and gave us a gift card. We were celebrating and the concierge sent us a huge gift to congratulate us, that was awesome and unsuspected.

As a DVC Member we have stayed at many different resorts and types of rooms but our last stay at the Polynesian Villas just took our breath away. Now we understand its a newer complex and the "shine " is still on but from the lobby to the layout of the landscape and walkways is just outstanding. We stayed in a deluxe studio with the theme park view and couldn't have been more excited with the room we got. The view was outstanding but the real kicker was the layout of the room. Plenty of closet space, a bathroom to kill for with a bench in the shower to do legs and feet, rain head and hand held showers, stone /tile floors for safety (we are a bit older 70's) the toilet was separated by a frosted glass door, but the colors of the tile work and mirrors was stunning. Kitchen had a dishwasher, micro wave, fridge (good size), sink with a full size counter, and a small table and bench seating for any type of meals. The balcony was a good size to watch the fireworks show and the electric water pageant parade and the sound system was just great. A short walk got you to the main "long house" of the Polynesian Hotel and all its shops and restaurants, ad monorail/park bus system. Like I said we have stayed at many but this was our first stay here and are planning our next trip back.

The tower really feels like a current resort on O‘ahu. It's beautiful and has wonderful lobby music. Wailulu is a fantastic and might be the best musubi outside of the islands. Nightly views of the fireworks is pretty nice as well.
