  Hot water poured from the cold water faucet, with a full 10 minutes to cool down before ramping back up to scalding. Be careful, especially if you have children. It's a danger. If you're looking forward to a non-smoking facility, go someplace else. They claim to be non-smoking but allowed smoking in Room 222. Overflowing ashtrays with cigarette butts. We also found 2 dead crickets in our room, one very visible in the bathroom.The breakfast is available, the waffles as usual. I'd stay away from the sausage, it was severely dried out, and the eggs had seen better days. I do have to point out the beds are comfortable, having a nearly full-size refrigerator is nice, and the kitchenette is good. I brought up each of the "issues" to the front desk, the first time was right after check-in, then again as we checked out. There was no look of surprise on anyone's face about the smoking on the second floor. None. How is it that not a single review, with the exception of one, has mentioned the hot water? I doubt they're valid reviews.

  We had a great stay at Staybridge Suites. The hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were spacious and well kept. One of the biggest highlights was the in-room kitchen, which made the stay even more comfortable and convenient, especially for longer stays. Everything felt thoughtfully laid out, and the room had a nice, home-like feel. The location is also a big plus conveniently located near plenty of shopping and just a short drive to the beaches, making it easy to get around and enjoy the area. Overall, a clean, comfortable, and well-located place to stay. We loved it and would absolutely stay here again.

  Stayed over Thanksgiving in suite 334 so that is the room this review is for. Great down time rates. Great amenities. The room, although huge and great looking at first glance, finishing touches were a miss. Toilet loose and ran very loud. Hot water took about 30min to get somewhat hot...this is not an exaggeration. Maybe because we were so far from the hot water supply? Outside railings and light fixtures not clean. Could not figure out how to cast android phone to tv. Yes I am tech savvy. All in all, a good stay for the price. If I paid more I'd be unhappy, especially with the hot water.

  Second time staying here. The room is very clean, and since the hotel was renovated in February 2025, everything feels practically new. Comfortable beds and pillows, a dining table with chairs, and a full kitchen setup: regular-size fridge, microwave, two-burner stove, pots and pans, dishwasher, and a sink with garbage disposal. In the summer, the outdoor pool is open. They also have a laundry room (4 washers and 5 dryers) available for guests. The complimentary breakfast is very good quality. The hotel is dog-friendly ($40/night) and has decent soundproofing. You can hear dogs in the hallway, but once you’re inside your room, it’s quiet. Staff are courteous and pleasant. Prices are very reasonable, especially if you book early. Only a 10-minute drive to Cape Henlopen State Park. I really like this area.
