    Vincent at front desk was excellent at check in. Room was on the 1st floor had vaulted ceiling was clean and spacious. Had refrigerator and microwave. Plenty if parking with EV charger. Breakfast was standard pancakes, eggs, bacon coffee juice etc. Surrounding area had all food and drink chains.

    Good location, rooms are very clean, beds are nice. Good bed linens. The breakfast starts earlier than the 630 posted start time which is a plus. Grind and brew coffee is a nice addition.

    This place is the “Towel Nazi” (Seinfeld Soup Nazi reference). Unbelievable the towel rationing. Room only had 2 towels. Asked front desk for another since we had more than 2 people in the room. They pushed back and asked questions like why, how many people, how many nights. Weird. On the 2nd day (we don’t do room service and put up the do not disturb sign) Asked for 3 clean body towels since we didn’t do the room service and they were like nope. You can have 1. lol. If you stay here, bring your own towels.

    We needed a place to stay because of an emergency and were lucky we found the Holiday Inn express and suites in Dover Delaware. Our suite has lovely views of the woods next to the hotel. Usually at hotels always see our parking lots! The staff are so friendly and accommodating. I do not think we’ve ever had better service than at this hotel. It’s been newly renovated and is in great condition. The breakfast is decent with lots of choices. When we come back, we will definitely stay here again.

    I want to highlight how clean this hotel is and the excellent service from most of the staff. However, I had a very negative experience with the front desk person on duty this past Monday, March 16th, and Tuesday, March 17th. ​The staff member had a poor attitude and showed zero customer service or manners. It is highly unprofessional to see someone in that position just watching TV in the lobby instead of attending to guests. It’s a shame because the rest of the hotel is great, but the service at the front desk was not up to standard.
