  We are currently renting a room here due to the snow storm that caused us to stay overnight in a bear, DE. We were woken up twice (the second time its now 11:45pm) by a speeding red Volkswagon VW bug continuously speeding through the hotel parking lot almost hitting my car and two other parked cars!!! I went down with my video camera to catch them on camera and come to find out its 3 kids driving this car through the parking lot and the parent looks as if though they are a crackhead!!! I went to the front desk to report it to the representative on site who was very disrespectful as if I was bothering him and he seemed to not even care!!!. I then had no choice but to call the police as this is very dangerous tonight with the slick snowy conditions!!. This hotel has cameras..WHY are you allowing guests to speed through your parking lot waking up guests at night!!! Why are you dismissing it when guests are reporting this dangerous and unsafe issue to your staff. I will not be stuck in a hotel forced to pay for additional nights because irresponsible parents allow there delinquent children to operate their vehicles and possibly crashing into guests cars!!! A minor operating a motor vehicle IS ILLEGAL UNDER EVERY STATES LAW!!! I hope they arrest the parents. This is absolutely absurd and ive never had to deal with this sort of thing at a hotel. I am supposed to be getting rest as i am helping clear the roads with the plow crews and have been woking up now 2 times by this guest!!!

  Front dest staff are awesome, respectful and helpful, especially Selline. Selline is extremely respectful polite and professional and displays many traits of a leader and should be made management. The tall black maintenance guy should most definitely show more respect to guests or don't speak to them at all. Rooms and hotel are very clean and cleaned daily. Breakfast comes with the purchase of any room. Hot water in the showers gets very hot. Housekeeping staff is also very respectful and nice and are eager to help you if you ask. 24/7 free coffee as well.

  Im very disappointed and so were my kids. We came to enjoy the hotel and the pool. The pool was freezing my daughter’s lips turned blue because it was so cold. Even sitting in the pool room I had to layer up because it was cold in there. Lots of people come to enjoy the pool not freeze to death.. First and last time staying. Hampton INN is where I go but I wanted to try another hotel. Learned my lesson and won’t make the mistake again!

  Edit 2.9.2026 i have called several times to speak to the manager. They say he will be in later i call back and now oh no he is on bacation until the middel of feb. He was to reach ojt to me via email but that has not happened. They tell me hia name is TJ and he magically the only person to settle this issue. Complete lack of caring and compassionate. My 11 year had bites all over her face and still went to cheer comp in feont of her friends embarrassed. All im asking for is a refund. My daughter's and I were in town for cheer comp. Stayed one night. In the morning my daughter had blotches on her face and back. My older daughter pointed out some bugs. Bed bugs. Went to the front. Gentleman was nice and offered us a suite for the next night which I declined because we were not staying there any longer. He said manager would be in at 9a. I call back no the manager is not in until the following Wednesday. Now that has come and gone and manager is not back until mid February. Apparently the manager is the only person that can issue a refund at this establishment and I was told he was to be calling me.. which he has not. Its been almost 2 weeks. I have called head quarters of best western also. The room was 123 my daughter had to be put on meds from the itching so bad and went to cheer competition with bites all over her face. There was no urgency with the bed bug situation and clearly doesnt seem to be on anyone's minds there.
