  The check-in experience was horrible , the lady in reception should know how to welcome a guest ! Forget about me being A guest who stays 100+ plus in hotels , have a high status in IHG to any guest If not she should simply not work here ! I do expect that smile , and greetings it’s not currency it’s what I am here for to feel home The very dusty reception desk as well as the pos machine is just one extra negative point The rooms are good and seem clean the pricing is fair for the location The vale guy is good The breakfast is a barge

  Great place to stay? Felt very safe in this neighborhood. Restaurants nearby, sights to see relatively within walking distance -- for those who exercise a gazillion hours. For those typical americans who jump in their car to go to the next block to run an errand, grab your inhaler! Parking. As in all of DC, is extortion legalized. $60-75/day, easy. Looking for a bruch spread with the free breakfast? Get real.. same as others--average. But rooms are clean, though tiny, for a 2 queen size beds. But overall still a 4/5. Even 4.5!

  Wow to promise a diamond member or any member a certain time and not able to come thru on that time that is stated in the email is poor service and poor communication, not to mention when you have someone at the front desk make sure they are doing their job and have a welcoming attitude to those walking in. Never had I had any issues with any of the locations till this one, what a poor excuse for a hotel and the customer service here. Maybe next time have staff that are able to take care of their customers and the business it’s self.. but worrying about issues on their phone or stuffing their face. I wouldn’t even RATE IT A 1 star at this point but doing it so I can post my opinion..

  I was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel! A friend and I stayed there over the weekend and were blown away by our view from the 14th floor. I am a IHG credit card holder and was impressed by the good bag provided at check in. Our room was top notch and very clean. The staff is helpful and friendly. I ate at the breakfast buffet and thought the food was pretty good. I highly recommend staying here, as it is just as nice as more expensive hotels, but at a fraction of the cost.

  I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this hotel. I booked and paid in advance for a five‑night stay commencing on 24 January. Unfortunately, due to a severe weather event—a major ice storm affecting the USA—our flight to Washington, DC was cancelled. This was beyond our control and particularly upsetting given that we had travelled from Australia specifically to stay in DC. I was very disappointed by the hotel’s refusal to issue a refund despite the circumstances being a recognised weather emergency. I have spoken on multiple occasions with hotel managers Antoinette and Rachel, who acknowledged the severity of the weather event; however, it has now been almost two months and our payment has still not been refunded. We booked and paid in advance, expecting a reasonable level of flexibility in the event of an emergency of this nature. As an IHG member who regularly stays with this hotel chain, this experience has been particularly disheartening and has made me reconsider future bookings. Sadly, based on this experience, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again should I have the opportunity to return to Washington, DC. Further to my previous post, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the General Manager, Jeremy E., who assisted me in receiving a full refund. Jeremy, thank you for your kindness and understanding in this situation.
