Location is great for the museums, not so much for food especially breakfast and dinner. You need to walk or catch a ride over a mile if you want something to eat other than McDonald’s at night. Staff was all great, helpful with anything and everything! The one real issue with the room was the beds. They were like sleeping on a board. I inquired with the wonderful staff and they got me a mattress topper quickly, but it still wasn’t comfortable.

Beds are rock hard, cable is extremely glitchy and all the kids channels didnt work. They lied about free breakfast, the kids area had a broken foosball table and a bunch of ripped books.

We stayed 4 nights 5 days. The beds were so hard we had severe back pain every single day waking up sore and stiff then having to go walk all day was a huge negative. The TV in the room didn't work properly. The drawers on the night stand wouldn't stay shut. The wallpaper in the bathrooms was peeling. We were given clean towels everyday which was nice but there needs to be a deeper cleaning done there was some mold. You can hear the train go by all night the plumbing in the walls and the dogs barking in the hotel. Sleep was hard. After venturing north of the National Mall we realized this location was not ideal. There is way more tourist shops and food on the white house side. This is more of a business district. The pros were in house starbucks, close walk to the national mall and close to metro. The buffet breakfast was not good at all especially for not being complimentary. We wouldn't stay here again to visit DC.

This is a perfect example of getting what you pay for. The rooms are much cheaper than other nearby hotels, but the experience suffers. I don't think this hotel has been updated in a VERY long time, and that is really starting to show. They need to remodel. The beds were horribly firm and uncomfortable. I couldn't sleep at all the first night. I think these are old mattresses as well. Walking up you could see the carpet had stretched and was piling and loose. The bathroom wasn't cleaned properly. I literally found bits of food on the walls of the bathroom; very gross. Paint was old and chipped. The electrical outlets were too loose to properly hold a phone charger and several wouldn't create a closed electrical circuit; this feels like a fire hazard. The room was equipped with an alarm clocked that used the iPhone port from 2012!! There were rust stains in the tub. The drawers wouldn't stay closed in the dresser. On the up side we had no issues with parking, service was helpful and prompt, the metro is close, there is a Starbucks in the building, and while we didn't try the food in-house, others seem to like it.

Recently just stayed here for my first trip to DC. The hotel was great in many ways... the location, food, staff, amenities, room cleanliness, & security measures in place. My only complaint is how HARD the beds are. Thankfully, my room had 2 queen beds in it so one wasn't as hard as the other one. I also spoke to the others in our large party to see if they had hard beds as well. It was a concurring issue most of us had in our rooms. So just be aware of that if you're planning to stay. Unsure if they are able to put a bed topper on it for you if it's unbearable or not.
