The AC in my room did not work. I called the front desk. Someone came up, tried to fix it, and told me to call back in 15 minutes if it still wasn’t working.
I called back as instructed. The front desk agent Nico told me, they can’t fix it, adding “Do you want to leave? You can leave right now.”
He proudly said the call was being recorded. And still, this is how he spoke to a paying guest who simply asked for a working room.
No apology. No attempt to help. Just hostility.
I have sent a detailed email to the Hilton executive team. I have requested they pull the recording of that call. I hope you take the time to listen to it yourself and hear how your staff represents this hotel.

Staff is a huge disappointment to Hilton.
My cousin was looking forward to a trip to DC. Before booking this hotel, we called their number to ask if he can use my credit card for payments (I am sponsoring parts of his vacation). He was informed that yes, after booking, he can call the hotel to request a credit card authorization form for "his brother" (me) to fill out. We went ahead with the booking and called immediately after. When we were transferred over by a customer service agent, the hotel staff refused to provide a credit card authorization form. Stating how they are only available for businesses. After that, we restated the contradiction in information from before the booking ("his brother") and after the booking ("only businesses"). Yet neither the hotel staff nor the customer service has been able to help us out. Leaving us trapped with a no-cancellation possible and no Hilton credits/points available as compensation for the inconvenience. The customer service agents continue to state the credit card authorization angle and the gentleman at the hotel front desk continues to refuse to provide one and refuses to cancel the reservation.

Front desk is virtually non existent. They never respond to chats or even answer the phone. We have had an issue and no one seems to be able to fix it.

Check in was easy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is mandatory valet. Room was nice, generally. #213. I recommend asking for a different room if you're offered this one, as the fan doesn't shut off in the heater. It mostly blows cold air over your face if you sleep towards the window side of the bed.
Restaurant, Chef Geoff's, is really good!
