  Just wish you guys would advertise that you have $100 deposit fee and that I have to wait almost a week to get it back. Other than that service was amazing. People were amazing. Rooms are amazing. Would give five stars all around but I'm still waiting for my $100 deposit

  Checked in on 2.4, the young girl at reception didn't speak more than two words to me. I wasn't told why I was being charged $100 when I had prepaid. It was to cover incidentals but you have to SAY THAT. That charge is still on my account 2 days later so now I have to investigate that. It's supposed to be a hold not a charge. But that's not even what I'm upset about - I'm upset because your employee had zero customer service & then took a phone call during our check out process. She handed me my hotel key card with a word, not a thank you or directions how to get to my room. NOTHING. I was left to figure out myself and felt I wasn't even welcome to stay. It stated there was a complimentary breakfast but nothing was set out in the lobby in the morning as advertised online. We had an event to work so it was irritating to leave without having anything to eat. The lady at the desk in the morning was equally as annoyed to have to do her job. Told me to put my check out keys in the box without a smile or thank you for staying. And of course like every holiday inn we ever stay at, the pool is ALWAYS closed for maintenance. I actually LAUGHED because this happens every single time. Only positive part of this visit was that the bed was comfortable but unfortunately we were placed at the first rooms near the elevator near the lobby so we were woken up all night by people. You just reminded me why we stay at Air BnBs. They actually care about their guests staying there. Holiday Inn is going on the blacklist.

  To start off, the staff at the check-in time was very polite and welcoming, check-in was smooth. The elevator reeked of weed smell throughout our stay and was very slow, probably because it is an old one but that was not a major issue with us, the smell was. The heating unit in the room wasn’t working when we first went in, we called the front desk they came and fixed it! We left the heat on for the room to get a little warm as it was really chilly out and the unit was taking a long time to reach the set temperature. We came back at night in our room and the heat wasn’t working again, it was after midnight so we didn’t bother calling front desk and tried to fix it ourselves! Again in the middle of the night, the heat went off and my husband got up and tried to fix the power issue. In this cold weather it was very inconvenient to not have the basic amenity of heating in our room. We initially requested a late checkout through booking.com and even confirmed with the staff member at midnight when we back to the hotel, staff confirmed we can check out at 12 PM, she probably didn’t inform the morning staff of our late checkout and they called us to tell there will be a late checkout fee charged stating that there are no notes for them to see if we are checking out late! A huge organizational miscommunication on their part and he even said “ I don’t even know if this scenario ever occurred” accusing that how could he trust that we actually spoke to a staff member last night!! It was horrible being in that position, I put my mental peace over any arguments in the morning and checked out. I believe this is where feedback comes in so the hotel knows what needs to be fixed!!! I just feel horrible about the heating situation, that is a basic amenity that every hotel provides!
