  As we like to visit Mohegan Sun and see family in the area, we found this to be a very good choice. The hotel looks plain from the outside however it has been completely remodeled inside and the rooms are always clean. The rooms have faux wood floors which appeals to us from a cleanliness standpoint. The staff is friendly as well. For a few dollars more opt for the breakfast included.

  The major issue was the elevator, it was down through most of my stay. The first day I was in a nandicap room on the top floor. There was a way to get to the room without stairs but it is on a hill with no railings. It also snowed and no one shoveled or salted. The bed was too high. My feet didn't come near the floor when sitting on the edge of the bed. I then had a medical issue and had to call the ambulance. By the time I was re I eased from the ER, the outside walkway was covered in ice and snow. I had to extend my stay and moved to another handicap room on the first floor. Elevator was working that day. Room was great but then no elevator again. Staff are the only reason this 3 stars. They tried to help me but it became too difficult for me. In order to check out, I had to call the fire dept to get me down the stairs. I was basically trapped in my room which affected my health as I got weaker. Then someone hit my car causing damage to the blind spot monitor and taillight. Not there fault but the video feed was supposed to have been provided to the police. Not sure if it was. Definitely not ADA compliant.

  I am returning to this hotel’s google page because I posted my prior review before I left and the owner replied after I checked out. When I went to check out, she brought up my review. She proceeded to blame my friend that was staying with me for not accurately telling housekeeping to do their jobs. I had seen the housekeeper on my way out the day prior to check out, the young lady with glasses. I asked her to supply us with towels and body wash. I also told her the room had not been cleaned for 5 days and asked her if she could clean it. My friend told the front desk the same thing. He had brought up how the room had not been cleaned for 5 days. Yes, you have a sign at the front desk saying 24 hour notice but your check in guy didn’t bring that to my attention when I checked in. Typically, when you are checked in at a hotel - you are told the policies. What has me returning here though is how the owner came off. She was very adamant to blame my friend and to scold me for not telling her that the shower which the housekeeper had opened to replace the body wash, had needed cleaning. My friend just cleaned it because we had gotten tired of asking for towels every single night. No other hotel that I have stayed at, has scolded me or blamed my friend. Also, any other hotel will typically clean your room at least every other day without being summoned. It’s not like you had the summer crowds there where it would be understandable to miss maybe an extra day rather than every other day of no cleaning. I will not be returning here, terrible service.

  Construction being done right across from the hotel. You will hear it and the construction closes entrances on the highway making it harder to access the highway. The hotel should notify it's guests that there is busy construction and suggest the best western in mystic. We called and ask for compensation, management doesn't care.

  Decent room, with reasonable price, and decent selection for bfast items consider its a budget hotel.
