- AVAshley VDec 22, 20254.0Solid hotel choice especially for the area. Rooms are a little outdated and basic but mine had a huge mini fridge and microwave. Nice looking restaurant down stairs. They had super cute Christmas decor. Excellent location with plenty of parking. Its clean and smells clean. The area is noisy but it is a city. Only briefly interacted with staff but they were nice. Would not recommend walking around the area at night.

- RHRobert HOct 3, 20252.0I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn New London – Mystic Area and was very disappointed with several aspects of my visit. First, the breakfast. I paid $18 per day for breakfast for myself and my daughter, and for that price I expected something more than what we got. On the first day, it was just the standard buffet – but drinks weren’t even included. On top of that, there were big signs everywhere reminding you to tip, which felt over the top considering the hostess only seated us. On the second day, they switched to a menu-style breakfast. The menu was so limited that we just left and found food elsewhere. Overall, the breakfast package was overpriced, misleading, and absolutely not worth it. Second, the hotel parking lot setup was a headache. All but one of the gates into their lot were locked, which made getting around the building confusing and unnecessarily difficult. There were several other gates that could have been open to make navigation much easier, but instead it was a frustrating challenge just to drive and park. Between the disappointing breakfast experience and the poorly thought-out parking lot access, I can’t recommend this hotel. For the price, I expected much better.
