Nothing to complain about here. A decent hotel, for an okay price, especially considering the area, with plenty of free parking, and a decent free breakfast was included. Croissants, x, sausage and gravy. More than Continental breakfast, but nothing extremely fancy either. Overall, it was a good value, especially comparison to the surrounding hotels.

My husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn located at 278 Old Gate Lane in Milford CT from October 9th thru 14th. This was the worst Holiday Inn we had ever stayed at. We requested the top floor and was told it was noted on our account. Upon arrival, the front desk stated it wasn't . We requested extra wash cloths, it took them 5 hours to provide. On October 12, our room wasn't clean, garbarge was not dumped, bed wasn't made and no fresh towels. On October 13th, maid knocked and was only going to provide towels, we said we need the entire room cleaned. She said she would be back in five minutes, that didn't happen. We told the front desk of our needs. We were very disappointed with this location and we will never stay there again. In addition to this, there were two front desk employees that were very rude and not very helpful and to top it off one if them was a supervisor.

The young man at the front desk is the sweetest!! I was in a desperate situation and he accommodated me without hesitation. I am beyond grateful.
My room was clean, quiet, comfortable and I felt safe. That is priceless.
The location is very convenient, close to everything.
Highly recommend!!

First the good:
Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and sheets were clean. With the exception of one person at the front desk, the staff were very nice, rates were reasonable, good access to 95 and other major roads.
Problems:
First room had a non-functioning TV remote that was never resolved. TV picture quality was also terrible, beyond awful, basically unwatchable.
We did get a free upgrade to a larger room as a result of the TV remote issues, but the TV in this room was also just awful. The remote worked, but the picture was so dim it was almost impossible to watch. TV is not that important to us, but it was absurd that they spent so little on the their sets and bought the lowest grade units.
Also, the key card on our room (2nd floor) was a PITA as it did not work reliably. Indeed, the whole door mechanism was loose and clearly needed refurbishment or replacement. Our first room also had issues with the door handle.
Carpets in the common areas were a bit shabby, indoor pool was nice. Complimentary breakfast was basic, but OK.
Overall, a semi-decent place to sleep, but maybe don't expect to watch TV here. Wifi was adequate but signup was somewhaty confusing depending on the device in use. Although upload speeds were abysmal.
I'll choose another hotel on our next trip to the area.
