Its "ok" for a Hilton. Bedding was scratchy. I questioned whether or not it 🤔 had been washed. Lighting in room was poor. Toilet paper holder was hanging off the wall. Staff was very nice.

Beds and bedding were cheap and hard. Room was spacious for handicapped accessible. Bars in shower were a plus. No bars for toilet. ??? Breakfast was good. Although I wouldn't stay here again because of the beds. Not comfortable at all. Hilton Garden Inns used to be so plush. I was dissapointed.

We usually stay at this hotel when we're in Danbury. It has been recently renovated so the rooms were very clean and updated. The staff was great and friendly. The reason for only 4 stars is the breakfast/restaurant. The breakfast menu has only yogurt for under $10, which is the Hilton Honors Gold and Diamond daily food and beverage credit. The rest of the options are around $16-17 and there is no option for just a Continental breakfast. There should be a $10-11 option for a Continental breakfast for people just looking for a simple baked goods type of meal. Also, this is one of the few Hilton brand hotels which does not include tips in the Food and Beverage credit eligible costs which is against the Hilton F&B policy. The breakfast food was great and our server, Brian, was terrific. There is plenty of parking and it is minutes to anywhere in Danbury. There is a little truck noise from I-84 on the front side of the hotel so try to request a room in the backside.

If you have a disability or have a service dog, I do not recommend Hilton Garden Inn. We checked in the other night and encountered a front desk employee that made a snide remark about our dog, claiming that anyone could say a service dog is such to avoid a pet fee. It is NOT the guest's job to educate these employees. I wouldn't have left a review but the email I got back from the general manager was disappointing at best. Just an apology and that they would better train their staff. Hilton is an incredibly large chain, there is no excuse.

We needed a place to stop during a long drive. This hotel's location was just what we needed.
