  I was on a cross-country trip and couldn’t make it to my destination due to inclement weather – thankfully, this hotel was right next to me when I decided to pull off the highway and call it a night. The front desk was so friendly and accommodating for my last minute booking. The room was nice and I loved the Dove products in the bathroom. This location is amazing! Especially if you have a dog like I do. There is a path behind the hotel along a river that was a dream to wake up to. Not to mention, just across the street there is an incredible trail along the river to take a morning walk, with ample parking, which we did after grabbing coffee at a local spot less than 5 minutes away on Main St. that makes the perfect latte. You can also have Keurig coffee in the room, which was such a nice touch! Breakfast was also a 10/10 with choices of egg white and veggie, or egg and cheese omelettes, delicious home fries, meat options and a variety of coffee, tea, bread, and condiment options as well. Sometimes the detour is the destination, and that was absolutely the case with this gem in Silt, CO!

  While the location of this hotel is beautiful, the room we were in was very uncomfortable to be in. It looked beaten up, was very run down, had visibly dirty floors which made me question the cleanliness of everything else, some electric outlets barely worked, the shower had wallpaper peeling off with mold visible, and we woke up to an intense smell of dog urine in the room that did not go away for the remainder of our stay. I believe this was a pet-friendly room because my son and I are allergic to most pets and immediately started having reactions upon coming in. I can tell they are trying their best with the run down facilities but the IHG needs to get their act together, this should be unacceptable and fixed ASAP. Not sure why there are so many 5 star reviews except for the views and serenity of the surroundings. Maybe our room was different from some of the others. Wish we would have requested a different one but we were not sure if all the rooms were that way or not. We didn’t really deal with staff, so I left that one blank. From what I could tell, they seemed fine. The pool was fine. Towels and beds were clean. Toilet was clean. Shower was clean except for the damaged parts that appear unclean. Overall, not the worst stay but definitely had me uncomfortable, especially with a 1 year old and a 5 year old touching everything.

  Favorite holiday inn ive stayed at. Right next to the river and the hotel is very very quiet.
