  The hotel was very nice with clean rooms and comfortable mattresses. The staff was very friendly but one of the best things about this Holiday Inn Express is Helen who takes care of the breakfast! She is so friendly and works so hard to make the breakfast enjoyable for all of the guests! It’s so nice to see someone that loves what they do and treat every person special. Out of all of the hotels that we have stayed in, I will remember Helen for her wonderful hospitality and service!

  This is the third time in 6 months we have stayed here. And third time the pool was closed off. I even called 2 days prior to confirming the pool was open…. So, I asked that manager, Angela, get in touch. Wrote down my name and informed what I was upset about… it has been 4 days, NOTHING, no response!!! 3 times your Out policy I have. Seriously doubt I will stay there again!

  The hotel is nice and has a fresh breakfast every morning. The cook person has always been friendly and attentive. There's a different lady this morning who had gone by the tables to make sure everyone has what they need. She's really gone above and beyond. The room is nice but the bathroom door doesn't stay open. That's a bit annoying when it's hot and humid in there and the AC doesn't come in. It's nice that there is a microwave and small fridge in the room. A lot of hotels in Colorado have gone to no microwave and a micro fridge. The location is OK. There's construction on one end of the road and in the lot next door to the hotel. It's within walking distance of a Walmart and some shopping and food but there's not really any sidewalks to walk on. I do like that it's only a few miles from a mall and the Pueblo Zoo.

  BED BUGS!!! BED BUGS!! We stayed in the handicap accessible room and the bed was comfortable and room was spacious but it all goes down the drain when your getting bit during the night!! When I told the lady at the front all she said was “sorry” then starters typing away. Then she said she gave me a $20 discount and 1000 points. Then she said “anything else I can do”. I was enraged!! But I understand she’s an employee and not the owner. So I just walked away. $20 discount is such a slap in the face but I guess it’s enough to buy Benadryl for the itching. Disgusted is all I felt with the whole experience. DON’T RISK IT!!
